"Training Days, Part 2", known as "Certain-Kill Ninja Art! The Most Dreadful Ninja Appears" in the Japanese version, is the sixteenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL anime. It first aired in Japan on July 25, 2011 and in the United States on March 24, 2012.

It's a Duel against Roku's former disciple, Kaze! Kaze draws his "Ninja" monsters, pinning Yuma down, but believing in the power of his friends, Yuma continues this battle even after Kaze Summons his Trump Card, "Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja". However thanks to Roku and Astral, Yuma wins the Duel.

Featured Duel: Yuma Tsukumo vs. Kaze

Duel continues from the previous episode.

Turn 2: Kaze
Kaze Sets two cards.

DododoWarrior-JP-Anime-ZX-NC

"Dododo Warrior" is Summoned.

Turn 3: Yuma
Yuma draws "Dododo Warrior" and subsequently Normal Summons it (2300/900) in Attack Position via its own effect, decreasing its ATK by 500 ("Dododo Warrior": 2300 → 1800 ATK). He then activates "Full-Force Strike", letting him target a monster he controls and prevent battle damage from being inflicted to either player from battles involving the target but any monster that battles the target will be destroyed at the end of the Damage Step. He targets "Dododo Warrior", who attacks "Blade Armor Ninja", but Kaze activates his face-down "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Freezing", ending the Battle Phase as he controls a face-up "Ninja" monster. As long as it remains face-up, Yuma's monsters cannot change their battle positions. Yuma Sets a card.

Turn 4: Kaze
Kaze draws "Spy Attack" and subsequently activates it, letting him send a monster in his hand to the Graveyard to look at a card in Yuma's Spell & Trap Zone. He sends "Aqua Armor Ninja" and sees that Yuma's Set card is "Gagagaback". "Blade" attacks and destroys "Gagaga Magician" (Yuma: 2600 → 1900 LP). Kaze activates the effect of "Blade", detaching an Overlay Unit ("Blade": 1 → 0 ORU) to allow it to attack again. "Blade" attacks and destroys "Dododo Warrior" (Yuma: 1900 → 1500 LP). As he controls a face-up "Ninja" monster, Kaze activates his face-down "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Rut mist", which will halve the ATK of all Special Summoned monsters Yuma controls as long as it remains face-up. As a "Gagaga" monster he controls was destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, Yuma activates his face-down "Gagagaback", Special Summoning monsters destroyed by battle this turn and taking 600 damage for each of them. Yuma Special Summons "Gagaga Magician" (1500 → 750/1000) and "Dododo Warrior" (2300 → 1150/900), both in Attack Position (Yuma: 1500 → 300 LP).

Turn 5: Yuma
Yuma draws "Gagagabolt" and subsequently activates it as he controls a "Gagaga" monster, letting him target and destroy a card his opponent controls. He destroys "Blade". "Gagaga Magician" attacks directly (Kaze: 4000 → 3250 LP). "Dododo Warrior" attacks directly, but Kaze activates the effect of "Aqua" in his Graveyard, banishing it to negate the attack. The effect of "Dododo Warrior" prevents it from being affected by Spell, Trap or monster effects when it attacks, so "Aqua" and "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Rust Mist" do not affect it ("Dododo Warrior": 1150 → 2300 ATK). The attack continues (Kaze: 3250 → 950 LP). Yuma Sets a card.

Turn 6: Kaze

No00:31

No. 12 Armored Ninja - Crimson Shadow

"Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja" is Summoned.

Kaze draws "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Alchemy" and subsequently activates it, letting him destroy all face-up "Ninjitsu Art" cards he controls to draw two cards. He destroys "Art of Rust Mist" and "Art of Freezing". Thus, the ATK of "Gagaga Magician" and "Dododo Warrior" return to their original values ("Gagaga Magician": 750 → 1500 ATK, "Dododo Warrior": 1150 → 2300 ATK) and they may change their battle positions. As he controls no monsters and Yuma does, Kaze Special Summons "Earth Armor Ninja" (1600/1200) from his hand in Attack Position via its own effect. Kaze then activates "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Revival", letting him Special Summon a "Ninja" monster from his Graveyard. He Special Summons "Flame Armor Ninja" (1700/1000), whose effect activates as it was Special Summoned, increasing its Level by 1 ("Flame": Level 4 → 5). Kaze overlays his Level 5 "Earth" and "Flame" to Xyz Summon "Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja" (2400/1700, ORU: 2) in Attack Position. "Crimson Shadow" attacks "Gagaga Magician", but Yuma activates his face-down "Guts Guard", changing the attack target to "Dododo Warrior" and preventing its destruction by battle this turn (Yuma: 300 → 200 LP).

Turn 7: Yuma
Yuma draws "Decrease" and subsequently activates it, reducing the Level of "Dododo Warrior" by 2 until the End Phase ("Dododo Warrior": Level 6 → 4). Yuma overlays his Level 4 "Gagaga Magician" and "Dododo Warrior" to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia" (2500/2000, ORU: 2) in Attack Position. "Utopia" attacks "Crimson Shadow", with Kaze activating the effect of "Crimson Shadow", detaching an Overlay Unit ("Crimson Shadow": 2 → 1 ORU) to prevent its destruction (Kaze: 950 → 850 LP). Yuma activates "Revenge Attack", allowing "Utopia" to attack again as it failed to destroy a monster by battle, with its ATK increasing by 1000 ("Utopia": 2500 → 3500 ATK). "Utopia" attacks and destroys "Crimson Shadow" (Kaze: 850 → 0 LP).
