"School Ghoul Duels", known as "Rei Rescue Operation! Elemental Heroes VS Fallen Angel Nurse" in the Japanese version, is the one hundred and twenty third episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime. It first aired in Japan on February 14, 2007 and in the US on October 13, 2007.

Jaden returns to Duel Academy, but is blocked from giving Blair her medicine by a Duel Ghoul Nurse Fontaine.

SummaryEdit

Desperate to get the medicine to Blair Flannigan, Jaden Yuki along with the transfer students set about their plan to sneak past the ever growing number of Duel Ghouls in order to get to Blair and Ms. Fontaine. However only Jesse and Jaden make it, and when they get there Ms. Fontaine has already become a Duel Ghoul and Jaden must defeat her whilst Jesse escapes with Blair and the medicine.

Turn 1: Fonda
Fonda Summons "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One" (ATK: 1400), she then places 2 cards face-down in her Spell & Trap Card Zones and ends her turn.

Turn 2: Jaden
Jaden activates "Polymerization" sending "Elemental Hero Avian" and "Elemental Hero Burstinatrix" to the Graveyard to Fusion Summon "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" (ATK: 2100). Fonda activates "Dark Cure" which give Jaden Life Points equal to half of "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman's" ATK, however, she then uses the effect of "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One" inflicting damage equal to the amount he would've gained (Jaden: 2950 Life Points). Fonda then activates "Brutal Potion" and equips it to "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One" which increases Reifcule's ATK by 1000 whenever effect damage is inflicted to Jaden until the End Phase (ATK: 2400). Jaden sets 3 cards face-down in his Spell & Trap Card Zones and ends his turn.

Turn 3: Fonda
Fonda activates "Bonfire", which lets her add "Burning Algae" to her Hand, activates "Magical Stone Excavation" discarding 2 "Burning Algae" and returning "Bonfire" to her hand. The effects of the 2 "Burning Algaes" activate giving Jaden 2000 Life Points, however the effect of "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One" activates and Jaden loses that amount of Life points instead (Jaden: 950 Life Points). The effect of "Brutal Potion" activates increasing "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One's" ATK by 1000 (ATK: 2400), Fonda then activates "Bonfire" again adding another "Burning Algae" to her hand. Fonda then summons "Burning Algae" (ATK: 500) and attacks "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" with "Burning Algae", however Jaden activates "Hero Barrier" negating the attack (as Burning Algae's destruction would have triggered its effect and reduced his Life Points to zero). Fonda attacks "Elemental Hero Flame Wingman" with "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One" and destroys it (Jaden: 650 Life Points), Jaden then activates his face-down "Hero Signal" Special Summoning "Elemental Hero Wildheart" from his Deck (ATK: 1500), who is unaffected by traps, so "Dark Cure" doesn't work.^{[Notes 1]}. Fonda ends her turn.

Turn 4: Jaden
Jaden activates "Graceful Charity" allowing him to draw 3 cards from his deck and then discard 2 from his hand, he discards "Elemental Hero Bladedge" and "Re-Fusion". Jaden attacks "Nurse Reficule the Fallen One" with "Elemental Hero Wildheart" and destroys it (Fonda: 3900), he then activates "Call of the Haunted" summoning "Elemental Hero Bladedge" from his Graveyard the effect of "Dark Cure" activates increasing Jaden Life Points equal to half "Elemental Hero Bladedge's" ATK (Jaden: 1950 Life Points). Jaden then attacks "Burning Algae" with "Elemental Hero Bladedge" and destroys it (Fonda: 1800 Life Points), and since "Burning Algae" went to the Graveyard Jaden gains 1000 Life Points (Jaden: 2950 Life Points). He then activates "Instant Fusion" sending "Elemental Hero Wildheart" and "Elemental Hero Bladedge" to the Graveyard to summon "Elemental Hero Wildedge" (ATK: 2600), the effect of "Dark Cure" activates increasing Jaden's Life Points by halve of "Elemental Hero Wildedge's" ATK (Jaden: 4250 Life Points), he then attacks Fonda directly (Fonda: 0 Life Points).

Jaden wins.
