He also saw Atticus and Alexis in their own bubbles and then looked down to see the Earth below them. They appeared to be trapped in an another dimension. Meanwhile, Duel Academy was being surround by six beams of light. Jaden, Syrus, and Chumley looked at the lights and Jaden figured out that they came from the Spirit Gates, which means a big part of the gate is open. Jaden was now the only remaining Key Keeper. Syrus suggested that he should hide before the seventh Shadow Rider comes, but Jaden refused. He wasn’t going to let some Shadow Rider take over the world, and he got Syrus and Chumley to stay with him for support. Meanwhile, in a secret lab, the 7th Shadow Rider said that everything was going according to plan and that soon, Jaden will face his ultimate duel test. Jaden saw the Mark of Amnael floating around the forest. They followed it to the abandoned dorm and went inside. Banner’s cat, Pharaoh, got scared and ran off into the dorm. The boys followed him to a secret door, where they found the lab of the 7th Shadow Rider. As Jaden looked around, he noticed a large box, and when he opened it, he found a mummy inside. He recognized the mummy and saw the name on its clothes, Banner. The 7th Shadow Rider appeared and said that the mummy was the real Professor Banner. The Shadow Rider called himself Amnael and said that Jaden will have to duel him to free his friends, who were trapped in an ancient tome, a Shadow Charm. Jaden accepted the challenge and was ready to defeat the last of the Shadow Riders. Amnael: played the magic card, Chaos Distill. It removes cards from the game instead of sending them to the graveyard and allows him to play magic cards that summon Alchemy monsters. To demonstrate, Amnael played the magic card, Steel Lamp, to summon Salamandra the Steel (500). He also used Bronze Scale and Lead Compass to summon Ouroboros the Bronze (500) and Leon the Lead (500). He ended his turn with one face down card. Jaden: summoned Bubbleman (800), which let him draw two cards since it was the only monster on the field, and equipped him with Bubble Blaster to give him 800 extra attack points (1600). Bubbleman attacked, but Amnael used his trap card, Elemental Absorber. When Jaden attacks with a monster, Amnael can discard a monster of the same attribute to block the attack. He discarded Aqua Spirit to block Bubbleman and end Jaden’s turn. Amnael: Alchemy monsters can attack directly, so all three attacked Jaden. Amnael had only card in his hand, but he played it, the magic card, Black Process-Nigledo. It let him remove his alchemy monsters from the game and then draw two cards for each one removed. He drew six cards and used three more magic cards, Tin Spell Circle, Mercury Hourglass, and Silver Key. They summoned Aetos the Tin (500), Echeneis the Mercury (500), and Moonface the Silver (500). Jaden (2500 LP): summoned Clayman (800) and equipped him with the magic card, Mud Max. It gave him 300 extra attack points (1100) and attacked, but Amnael discarded The Rock Spirit to activate Elemental Absorber and block the attack. Amnael said that Jaden must learn to duel in a way he has never done before. If he doesn’t, he’ll never save his friends and the world. Amnael: played the magic card, White Process-Albedo, to summon Golden Homunculus (0/0), whose attacks points are multiplied by 300 for every card removed from the game (3900). The Alchemy monsters attacked directly and then Golden Homunculus attacked Clayman, but Jaden used Mud Max’s effect. By discarding it, the attack was canceled and he gets to summon an Elemental Hero, so he summoned Avian (1000). Jaden (1000 LP): summoned Burstinatrix (1200) and attacked with Avian, but Amnael discarded Garuda the Wind Spirit to block it. Burstinatrix attacked, but he discarded Spirit of Flames to block it. Jaden played the magic card, Burst Return, which returned all monsters but Burstinatrix to his hand. He also played the magic card, Burst Impact, which destroyed all monsters on the field and did 300 damage to Amnael for everyone of his monsters destroyed (2200 LP). After Jaden seemed to get the upper hand, Syrus cheered him on and watched as Pharaoh went over to Amnael and rubbed against his leg. Pharaoh was never kind to strangers, but then Amnael took off his mask and revealed his identity, Professor Banner. He explained that the truth will be explained soon. To Be Continued...
