Jaden had traded Syrus’ bed for a rare card, along with a bunch of his other stuff for trade. Syrus got mad that Jaden would disrespect him like that. All of a sudden, Chumley came into the dorm to tell Jaden that someone was out in the harbor looking for him. When the Key Keeper’s gathered together at the harbor, they saw a sea captain, standing on a giant submarine. He called himself, The Admiral. Admiral was looking for Jaden, and when she saw him, he challenged him to a duel. They figured he was a Shadow Rider and Jaden accepted the challenge. Bastion, Chazz, and Alexis agreed to come with him, but Syrus was still mad at him and didn’t go. They all boarded the submarine and were amazed to see that Admiral had a giant duel arena in it. Jaden and Admiral went into the arena while the other three watched from the control room. Jaden was ready and pulled out his duel disk. Jaden asked why exactly Admiral was dueling him. Admiral had been studying Jaden for quite a long time and wanted Jaden to help him start a new Duel Academy. This one would be underwater and Jaden would be his top student, but Jaden didn’t want to leave his friends. Admiral decided to make a wager: if Jaden loses, he has to come with the Admiral, but is let go if he wins. Admiral offered Jaden a million dollars if they would just stop the duel and Jaden joined him. Jaden refused, but Admiral tried to coax him by saying that Syrus doesn’t really care if he left. Apparently, Admiral had really studied Jaden and was targeting his weak points. Sparkman attacked Admiral directly and Jaden won the duel. Afterwards, Admiral tried one last trick to get Jaden to stay. He told his friends that Jaden wanted to stay and then told Jaden that his friends decided to leave him behind, after they left by rescue boat. Once they got back to the island, Syrus was bummed out that Jaden wasn’t coming back, but then they heard a boat in the distance. Jaden had escaped the Admiral using another escape boat and greeted Syrus when he got to shore. They vowed to never fight again and made it up for what happened.
