"The Beautiful Trap!" is the fifty-sixth chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist manga and the one hundred and fifteenth chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! in the Japanese version. It was first printed in Japanese in the V Jump magazine. It was reprinted in volume 14 of the Japanese graphic novels and volume 7 of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist graphic novels in English.

Yugi Muto's TurnEdit

He Summons Summoned Skull in Attack Position and attacks Harpie Lady, but Mirror Wall activated again, reducing Summoned Skull's ATK to 1250 and stopping the attack.

Mai Kujaku's TurnEdit

She played Harpie's Feather Duster, sending Yugi's face-down card (Spellbinding Circle) to the Graveyard.

Yugi Muto's TurnEdit

He changed Summoned Skull to Defense Position and Summons Feral Imp in Defense Position.

Mai Kujaku's TurnEdit

Mai equipped Harpie Lady with Electro-Whip raising her ATK to 2100 and attacks Feral Imp, destroying it.

Yugi Muto's TurnEdit

He Summons Torike in Defense Position.

Mai Kujaku's TurnEdit

She Summons Harpie's Pet Dragon in Attack Position. Its ATK raises to 2300 because of its effect. It attacks and destroys Summoned Skull.

Anime adaptionEdit

This chapter was redone in the end of episode 29 of the Yu-Gi-Oh! second series anime. a number of changed were made include:

• Honda and Bakura were still with the gang.

• Mai was still wore her jacket, and her top wasn't open, so her breasts weren't revealed in the middle. This is actually happened in the whole of the Duelist Kingdom arc.

• During the Duel, Yugi still wore his jacket.

• The Duel goes on a large device instead of the hologram table. this is also happened in the whole of the Duelist Kingdom arc.

• All monsters that are summoned in Defense Position were Face-Down.

• Jounochi was about to fall from the top while he was talking with Mai.

• When Spellbinding Circle was destroyed, a hologram of it appeared instead of Yugi himself showing its card to Mai.

• Mai equipped Harpie Lady with Rose Whip instead of Electro-Whip.
