"Survival of the Fittest", known as "Survival Duel" in the Japanese version, is the one hundred and eighteenth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V anime. It first aired in Japan on August 14th, 2016 and in Canada on November 24th, 2017. It became available with official subtitles via Crunchyroll on November 14, 2017.
Yuya and co. arrive at Duel Academy's training facility. There, they find an Academy instructor, Sanders, waiting for them. He then orders his students to put their “special lesson” into practice: a Survival Duel, where the losers are turned into cards. Putting their survival on the line, the Lancers and the Academy's students duke it out in a 5 vs 5 Duel!

Lancers vs. Duel Academy students
Duel is shown from unspecified turns. Yuya controls "Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (2500/2500), Gong controls "Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei" (1000/3500), Crow controls "Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower" (2600/2000), Sylvio controls "Abyss Actor - Superstar" (2500/1800) and has activated "Abyss Script - Fantasy Magic" and Moon Shadow controls "Twilight Ninja Shingetsu" (1500/100).
The Duel Academy students control at least four copies of "Ancient Gear Hunting Hound" (1000/1000 each), six copies of "Double Ancient Gear Hunting Hound" (1400/1000 each) and five copies of "Triple Ancient Gear Hunting Hound" (1800/1000 each).
"Odd-Eyes" attacks and destroys three "Hunting Hounds", "Big Benkei" attacks and destroys six "Double Hunting Hounds" and "Raikiri" attacks and destroys four "Triple Hunting Hounds". The students withdraw from the Duel and it ends with no result.
Lancers vs. Duel Academy students vs. Battle Beast
At the start of the Duel, the Field Spell Card, "Crossover" is activated, as per the rules of an Action Duel. It will allow the players to use Action Cards, but they may only have 1 in their hand at a time. The Field Spell Card "Predaprimal Jungle" is also activated.
The Lancers and Duel Academy students are free to traverse the field and engage in Duels via Battle Royal mode. Unbeknownst to either side, the Battle Beast is also hiding in the field. The Duel will continue until only a single participant remains.
The Battle Beast Duels and defeats Bernie.
The Battle Beast Duels Moon Shadow, who controls "Twilight Ninja - Shingetsu" (1500/100) and "Twilight Ninja Nichririn, the Chunin" (2300/1000). "Nichirin" attacks, but an unknown effect destroys both it and "Shingetsu". Moon Shadow Sets a card.
A unknown amount of time is skipped. Ted enters the Duel at this point, taking the 2000 LP intrusion penalty (Ted: 4000 → 2000). The Battle Beast defeats Ted with "Gladiator Beast Laquari" before cornering Moon Shadow with "Gladiator Beast Gyazarus" and defeating him with both monsters.
The Battle Beast confronts Ethan, who disarms himself by throwing his Deck at him, prompting the Battle Beast to seal him in a card without Dueling him first.
