Featured Duel: Rebecca Hawkins vs. Leon von Schroeder - Part 1Edit

Turn 1: Rebecca Hawkins
Rebecca draws. She activates "Graceful Charity", drawing 3 cards ("Fire Princess", "The Shallow Grave" and "Ring of Magnetism") and discarding 2 cards from her hand, which are "Ring of Magnetism" and "Marie the Fallen One". The remaining cards in Rebecca's hand at this point are "Gravity Bind", "Adamantine Sword Revival", "Luster Dragon 2", "Polymerization", "Fire Princess", and "The Shallow Grave". Rebecca Normal Summons "Fire Princess" (1300/1500) in Attack Position. She then Sets a card.

Turn 2: Leon Wilson
Leon draws. He then Normal Summons "Forest Wolf" (1800/300) in Attack Position. "Forest Wolf" attacks and destroys "Fire Princess" (Rebecca 4000 → 3500). Instead of sending it to the Graveyard though, the effect of "Forest Wolf" equips the destroyed monster to it. During his Main Phase 2, Leon activates "Curse of Thorns", selecting "Marie the Fallen One" in Rebecca's Graveyard. Now the effects of "Marie the Fallen One" are negated while it is in the Graveyard, but if it is removed from the Graveyard, "Curse of Thorns" will be destroyed.

Turn 3: Rebecca Hawkins
Rebecca draws "Luster Dragon", and subsequently Normal Summons it (1900/1600) in Attack Position. "Luster Dragon" attacks and destroys "Forest Wolf" (Leon 4000 → 3900). Since it was destroyed, the effect of "Forest Wolf" activates, Special Summoning the monsters equipped to it. "Fire Princess" is Special Summoned back to Rebecca's side of the field (1300/1500) in Attack Position. "Fire Princess" attacks Leon directly (Leon: 3900 → 2600).

Turn 4: Leon Wilson
Leon draws. He Normal Summons "Glife the Phantom Bird" (1500/1200) in Attack Position. The effect of "Glife" activates when it is Summoned, destroying Rebecca's Set "Gravity Bind". "Glife the Phantom Bird" attacks and destroys "Fire Princess" (Rebecca: 3500 → 3300 Life Points). During his Main Phase 2, Leon activates the Continuous Spell Card "Gingerbread House".

Turn 5: Rebecca Hawkins
Rebecca draws. During her Standby Phase, the effect of "Gingerbread House" activates, increasing the ATK of "Luster Dragon" by 600 ("Luster Dragon": 1900 → 2500/1600). Since the ATK of "Luster Dragon" became 2500 by this effect, the second effect of "Gingerbread House" destroys it and Leon gains 500 Life Points (Leon 2600 → 3100). Rebecca activates "The Shallow Grave", Special Summoning "Luster Dragon" (1900/1600) in Defense Position, while Leon Special Summons "Forest Wolf" (1800/300) in Defense Position. She then Tributes "Luster Dragon" to Tribute Summon "Luster Dragon #2" (2400/1400) in Attack Position. "Luster Dragon #2" attacks and destroys "Glife the Phantom Bird" (Leon: 3100 → 2200).

Turn 6: Leon Wilson
Leon draws. He changes "Forest Wolf" to Attack Position. Next he Normal Summons "Cinderella" (300/600) in Attack Position. The effect of "Cinderella" activates when it is Summoned, Special Summoning "Pumpkin Carriage" (0/800) from Leon's Deck in Defense Position, and activating "Glass Slippers" from his Deck, equipping it to "Cinderella". "Cinderella" attacks Rebecca directly due to the effect of "Pumpkin Carriage" (Rebecca 3300 → 3000). Since "Cinderella" inflicted Battle Damage by a direct attack, the effect of "Glass Slippers" activates, allowing Leon to equip it to a monster Rebecca controls. He chooses "Luster Dragon #2", and the effect of "Glass Slippers" decreases its ATK by 1000 ("Luster Dragon 2": 2400 → 1400/1400). "Forest Wolf" attacks and destroys "Luster Dragon 2" (Rebecca 3000 → 2600). Due to the effect of "Forest Wolf", "Luster Dragon #2" is equipped to "Forest Wolf" instead of being sent to the Graveyard. Since "Luster Dragon #2" was destroyed, the effect of "Glass Slippers" equips itself to "Cinderella". At this point, the effect of "Cinderella" activates, increasing her own ATK by 1000 ("Cinderella": 300 → 1300/600). During his Main Phase 2, Leon Sets a card.

Turn 7: Rebecca Hawkins
Rebecca draws. She activates "Tribute to The Doomed", discarding 1 card^{[Notes 1]} to destroy "Forest Wolf". Since it was destroyed, the effect of "Forest Wolf" activates, Special Summoning the monsters equipped to it. "Luster Dragon 2" is Special Summoned to Rebecca's side of the field (2400/1400) in Attack Position. Rebecca then activates "Stamping Destruction", destroying "Gingerbread House" and inflicting 500 damage to its controller (Leon 2200 → 1700). "Luster Dragon #2" attacks "Cinderella", but Leon activates "Mirror Force", destroying "Luster Dragon #2".

Turn 8: Leon Wilson
Leon draws. "Cinderella" attacks Rebecca directly (Rebecca 2600 → 1300).
