Deck Masters
Edit
Featured Duel: Seto Kaiba vs. Noah Kaiba, Part 1
Edit
Turn 1: Seto
- Normal Summons "Giant Germ" (1000/100) in Attack Position.
- Sets a card.
Turn 2: Noah

Added by Huajun Chen- Normal Summons "Chiron the Mage" (1800/1000) in Attack Position.
- Activates "Chiron the Mage's" effect, destroying Seto's face-down "Crush Card Virus".
(NOTE: In the real game, you must discard a Spell Card from your hand to activate "Chiron the Mage's" effect)
- Attacks "Giant Germ" with "Chiron the Mage" (Seto: 4000 → 3200).
- "Giant Germ" is destroyed, activating its effect: "Giant Germ" inflicts 500 points of damage to Noah (Noah: 4000 → 3500) and allows Seto to summon another "Giant Germ" (1000/100) in Attack Position.
Turn 3: Seto
- Tributes "Giant Germ" to summon "Vampire Lord" (2000/1500) and uses it to attack "Chiron the Mage" (Noah: 3500 → 3300).
- After Battle Damage, "Vampire Lord's" effect is activated: Seto chooses "Monster", so Noah sends "Giant Soldier of Stone" from his Deck to the Graveyard.
Turn 4: Noah
- Activates "Fissure", destroying "Vampire Lord".
- Normal Summons "Aeris" (1800/1400) and attacks Seto directly (Seto: 3200 → 1400).
- Sets a card.
Turn 5: Seto
- Since "Vampire Lord" was destroyed by an opponent's card effect, it is Special Summoned back to Seto's field (2000/1500).
- Normal Summons "Slate Warrior" (1900/400) in Attack Position.
- Attacks "Aeris" with "Vampire Lord".
- Noah activates "Earthshaker", picking DARK and WIND as Attributes. Seto must now choose 1 of the Attributes and all of his monsters with that Attribute are destroyed. He chooses DARK and "Vampire Lord" is destroyed.
- Attacks "Aeris" with "Slate Warrior" (Noah: 3300 → 3200).
Turn 6: Noah
- Activates "Giant Flood", destroying all monsters on the field and forcing both players to discard every monster in their hands to the Graveyard.
- Reveals his Deck Master: "Shinato's Ark".
Differences in adaptations
Edit
- Cut from the English version is a sequence showing the injured Noah being rushed to an operating room on a gurney, then lying in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask over his scratched face, and also removed is a shot of him floating in a pod connected to machinery. In the dub, he merely says 'What happened to me is not important', and what happened to him is never revealed.
- When Noah destroys "Vampire Lord" with "Fissure", in the dub, "Vampire Lord" is seen to disappear into space rather than fall in the lava like "Vampire Lord" does in the Japanese.
- The cross on "Vampire Lord's" coffin is removed in the English version.
