[edit] Major Events
- When a player's LP reach 0, the glass floor under them will break, opening a vortex that will suck them into the Shadow Realm (in the Japanese version, the loser just simply plunges to their death).
- Joey, Tea, and Mokuba are held hostage.
[edit] Featured Duel: Yami Yugi + Seto Kaiba vs. Lumis + Umbra - Part 4
Duel continued from previous episode.
[edit] Lumis' Turn
- "Masked Beast Des Gardius" attacks then destroys "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (Kaiba: 2100 → 1800 Life Points).
[edit] Yami Yugi's Turn
- During Yami's Standby Phase, "Mask of the Accursed's" effect inflicts 500 points of damage to his Life Points (Yami: 1500 → 1000 Life Points) Then, "Mask of Dispel's" effect inflicts 500 points of damage to his Life Points (Yami: 1000 → 500 Life Points). Yami Normal Summons "Gamma the Magnet Warrior" in Attack Position (1500 ATK / 1600 DEF). He tributes "Alpha the Magnet Warrior", "Beta the Magnet Warrior" and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" to form "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" in Attack Position (3500 ATK / 3850 DEF) then Sets 1 card. "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" attacks then destroys "Masked Beast Des Gardius" (Lumis: 4000 → 3800 Life Points), but this allows Lumis to activate "The Mask of Remnants" from his Deck to take control of "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior".
[edit] Umbra's Turn
- Umbra activates Magic Card "Masquerade" to take control of "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior". "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" attacks Yami, but Yami activates Quick-Play Magic Card "De-Fusion" to separate "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" into "Alpha the Magnet Warrior" (1400 ATK / 1800 DEF), "Beta the Magnet Warrior" (1700 ATK / 1500 DEF), and "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" (Note: In the real game, "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior" is not a Fusion Monster).
[edit] Seto's Turn
- Kaiba activates Magic Card "Soul Exchange". He tributes "Alpha the Magnet Warrior", "Beta the Magnet Warrior", "Gamma The Magnet Warrior" to Tribute Summon "Obelisk the Tormentor" in Attack Position (4000 ATK / 4000 DEF). "Obelisk the Tormentor" attacks Umbra (Umbra: 2000 → 0 Life Points) (Note: In the real game, you cannot attack during the turn you activated "Soul Exchange") nor can you tribute 3 monsters with it. You can only tribute one of your opponent's monsters).
[edit] Epilogue
- Umbra falls, but seemed to save himself with a parachute, but Marik Ishtar takes his soul. He then takes Lumis' soul due to him trying to run away; causing him to forfeit.
[edit] Changes to the English Version
- In the Japanese version Obelisk's ATK and DEF are 4000. In the dub they are 4850.
- Cut from the US version is a short bit showing Marik feeling Obelisk's summoning, and wondering that Kaiba can control the God card.
- Cut from the US version are short bits showing the glass surface breaking under Mask of Darkness's feet, and him plunging through the air.
- The building is made glowy in the dub.
- When Marik mind-controls Lumis, yellow glow is added to him.
