"Yomi" (黄泉 Yomi), referred to as "Abyss" in the official English sub but unrelated to the "Abyss" archetype, is an archetype used by the Familiar of Red Nova in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. "Treeborn Frog" and "Yomi Ship" belong to this archetype, while "Tsukuyomi" does not. The core "Yomi" monsters focus on inflicting effect damage to the opponent every time they are destroyed.
The name "Yomi" seems to be derived from Yomigaeru (よみがえる), meaning "Resurrection"; also, Yomi (黄泉) is the name of the Japanese underworld.
