Yokai Monsters

From Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yokai is a series of Monster Cards originally from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga. They were used by Bastion Misawa and are based on Yōkai creatures from Japanese folklore.

In the manga Yokai is a type of monster, similar to Union and Toon Monsters. Some of the Yokai Monsters have been released in the OCG and TCG, but not as a type of monster. Yokai monsters effects usually activate when they are Special Summoned from their owner's Graveyard. In the OCG and TCG they are Earth Zombie-Type monsters (except Goka, the Pyre of Malice).
