"Vassal" (帝家臣, Teikashin) is a series of monsters with 800 ATK & 1000 DEF related to the "Monarchs", with each of its members possessing an Attribute reflective of the element they control. All "Vassal" monsters have an effect that allows them to be Special Summoned from the hand, but, with the exception of "Escher the Frost Vassal", at the additional cost of disabling the Player who summoned them to Special Summon from the Extra Deck for the rest of the turn.
With the exception of "Escher", all "Vassal" Monsters also have an effect that activates from the Graveyard after being Tributed for a Tribute Summon.
While not true members of the series due to their names, these monsters do fit into the Vassal theme.
| When Normal or Special Summoned
|| Edea the Heavenly
|| Ehther the Heavenly
|| You can Special Summon 1 monster with 800 ATK and 1000 DEF from your Deck, except "Edea the Heavenly Squire".
|| If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 of your banished "Monarch" Spell/Trap Cards; add it to your hand.
|| Eidos the Underworld
|| Erebus the Underworld
|| You can activate this effect; you can Tribute Summon 1 monster during your Main Phase this turn, in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.)
|| You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 monster with 800 ATK and 1000 DEF in your Graveyard, except "Eidos the Underworld Squire"; Special Summon it in Defense Position.
They are used to support the "Monarch" series through easy Special Summoning effects and effects upon being Tributed for Tribute Summons.
