From Yu-Gi-Oh!

I'll try to keep this introduction short. I'm a 19-year old college student in Florida. I came across this Wikia while looking for individual card rulings (during a dispute with the rules with my friend). Since I've got quite a bit of spare time, I'm devoting a bit of my spare time to improve and add upon it to hopefully bring about more attention to it, making it more useful to myself and others.

I started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! a few years ago (around when Metal Raiders was first released). My friend (the same aforementioned one) and I bought a Yugi Starter Deck and some booster packs, split them up, and played without reading the rulebook. I eventually learned the rules and invested money into it to make a decent deck, when Beatdown decks were literally the only playable deck. Averaging 6 duels a day with various people in my neighborhood as well as local tournaments, having over $1000 worth of cards, I quit playing around the release of Legacy of Darkness, my collection being stolen in the process.

Late 2006, I decided to start my hobby up once again with one of their new structure decks, Lord of the Storm specifically, and was rather impressed with how much better these starter decks were than their earlier counterparts. I currently play with a heavily modified Lord of the Storm deck and lightly modified Fury from the Deep and Blaze of Destruction decks.

I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh! in a while now. I checked back and was very, very happy to see the glossary linking all of the rules articles and relevant information articles together. It will surely help any new players looking into this Wikia to start.
