The Duelist Genesis is the first set of the OCG's 6th Series after Light of Destruction. It was followed by Crossroads of Chaos.

This set introduced the Synchro Summon mechanics, along with Tuner monsters and the Psychic Type. Upper Deck Entertainment released this Booster Pack within the first 2 tins of the 2008 Collectors Tins. Beginning with this set onwards, players could sometimes find both a Rare and possibly a Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Secret Rare, or Ghost Rare in the pack.
