yes if it says "discard one card, special summon one zombie type monster from your graveyard" meaning you can. its just like Fossil Excavation User:Machineguy 11/22/08

So, if it was the first turn of the Duel and you had this card and Master Kyonshee in your hand also, despite having no cards in the graveyard you can use it's effect to special summon it depsite havign no other cards in your graveyard? V. Fire Daniels 05:41, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

• No, you would need to have a monster in the graveyard already to activate te effect, but because you discard after you activate the effect, you can select your discarded monster. Dmaster (Talk • Contribs • Count) 05:35, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
