Is there any proof that this is actually official? The pojo.biz thread opens with a quoted announcement blurb, but doesn't explicitly give a source for the blurb, which reads like it might have been taken directly from the Facebook page. This tweet does seem to confirm it, but you'd think there'd be a press release or something... 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:53, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
From what I've found and read it looks to be legit. They are in beta testing right now and only offered 5000 keys. They seem to be having a bunch of bugs with the app right now so they might be testing to see if it works and whether or not people want to play before officially announcing it. Look234 (talk • contribs) 19:03, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
Sounds reasonable... I didn't factor in the fact that it's only in beta testing currently. 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:39, May 24, 2012 (UTC)
Just saying that it's there; if we ever want to add it somewhere (e.g. how we add certain video game sets to the CardTable along with its logo) -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:17, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
Seems like someone's put it onto this page, which I didn't do, since it is redundant with the infobox image. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:38, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
"Yamanato Dragon Scroll" is a misspell. The Japanese name of the card is "Yamatano" (ヤマタノ). "Yamatano" (ヤマタノ) is a references to the Eight-Forked Serpent as seen in "Card Trivia:Yamata Dragon"
"Insect Armor and Laser" and "Djinn the Watcher" might be the new edited and reduced name.
I'm in favor of adding these name as an alternative name rather than move pages Blackwings0605 (talk) 04:11, July 29, 2012 (UTC)
Should we have a new card table template and article for each BAM card like how we did with Bandai card? Blackwings0605 (talk) 04:11, July 29, 2012 (UTC)
Well, it all uses {{CardTable2}}, regardless of what game the card is from. As for giving them their own pages, that depends on how much BAM differs from the OCG/TCG: how likely are e.g. a monster's Level/Rank (there are Xyz Monsters, right?), ATK, DEF, etc. to be changed from their OCG/TCG values? 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:11, July 29, 2012 (UTC)
No Xyz/Synchro/Fusion/Ritual Monsters.
There are cases where:
ATK/Power is different for many cards, Life Points mechanic instead of DEF (the Life Points you gain is not the same as the DEF of the _CG card for almost all cards), some Levels are different, almost all effects are different, no Traps only Spells and Trap related stuff are converted to Spells, some _CG Normal Monsters have effects, "Solemn Judgment" is a monster, etc.
The only thing that is perfectly consistent with all its _CG counterparts should be the Type and Attribute (barring things like "Solemn Judgment").
Just like Falzar said. And with the new August updates, the card poll is up to 407 cards now, and the table is getting longer and bigger. Also if we have article for every single BAM cards, we can note the price changed, others purchasable method (some cards can be obtained through both of purchasing from the shop and crafting). Blackwings0605 (talk) 01:52, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
Also, since most cards have different card effects, different card tips can be made, but then again, there aren't too many different card effects, so the tips could instead go to each effect type instead of each card. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:47, August 23, 2012 (UTC)
Would anyone mind until we started rolling out the card article redesign to start documenting the BAM cards on separate pages? The redesign will allow us to document them directly on the relevant card page rather than having to create over 400 "(BAM)" pages and interlink everything.
On that note, I've started working on a {{BAM card article}} template for that purpose, based on the table of card data present here. That template has parameters for all the information present here, but since I don't understand how everything works yet, several bits (power, Life Points, amount, effect2, and amount2) don't have any corresponding bit in {{Card table}} and so aren't used. Any feedback/pointers/suggestions/etc.? 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 21:08, September 7, 2012 (UTC)
Some cards can be obtained through both the shop and crafting.
Cards can also be obtained through treasure chests or prizes for winning a certain duel in the storyline. There's also a few which can be obtained through gifts from friends. Should we document those too?
There are 2 types of Spell Cards. Continuous and ones that don't say (so Normal).
How does crafting work, exactly? Is there anything that can be documented there aside from "this card can be crafted"? If so, I'd say that justifies splitting crafting into a separate parameter.
I don't see why we shouldn't, though I don't know whether this should be documented in the table itself or in an extra info section of some type below it. What're your thoughts?
Is the currency amount/type fixed for crafting a given card, or can it change from one craft to the next?
Unless I'm blind, there is no such list on-wiki.
Are the eight cards listed with a "Crafting" currency type the only eight which can be crafted, or are there others? A complete list would be nice. 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 11:18, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
The currency can be both coins, card pieces and duel points depending on each specific crafted card. For example: Dancing Elf can be crafted using 2 Shining Friendship (15650 coins each) with the craft cost of 1 card pieces and it can also be obtained from the shop with the cost of 105 card pieces. Another example is Armored Rat can be crafted using Prevent Rat (8675 coins) and Steel Shell (13 card pieces) with the craft cost of 1 card pieces and another way to obtain it is from the shop with the cost of 1 duel points.
There are 62 cards that can be crafted at the moment. Yeah, 8 of them (currently listed as "Crafting" currency) are the cards can only obtainable through crafting (They're not available in the shops or obtainable through treasure chests). And I'm starting to make a full table right now Blackwings0605 (talk) 11:38, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
Done. Sorry if the table is hard to see, I'm not good at making table things. Blackwings0605 (talk) 13:57, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Blackwings, that clarifies things some. =) Now I just have to figure out how best to implement that... 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 18:09, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
I reckon you could have put the table on the main page, it's useful.
You could copy the stuff for fusionmaterial and fusionmaterialfor, and change it to crafting. Queries can take care of the material costs.
I'm not worried about the material costs of the component cards, unless those have to be payed at the time of crafting as well; only the cost intrinsic to the crafting operation itself is worth noting for these, and let the articles on the materials cover their own costs.
That's about what I was thinking, though my own thought was to just have a single generalized parameter for the materials, for the raw material text (e.g. '"Card A" + "Card B"', for Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters), and for the cards a given card is a material for, though I suppose in the latter case we may want to distinguish e.g. if a given card is both a Fusion Material and a Synchro Material, or something like that.
Now how about the Power, HP, and lore/amount stuff, how does that all work? 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:13, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Power is ATK. The total HP of the cards in your deck added together = your starting LPs in the duel. Lore is just stating which effect type it is, the amount is well... the amount; how much does the effect do, e.g. Hurt 800 means Inflict 800 LPs damage to your opponent.
If you know the basics of the card game, you can probably learn how BAM works in a few mins. The game starts off with a tutorial after all. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:23, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
So for {{BAM card article}}, |atk={{{power|}}} should be fine (along with something to change the label from "ATK/DEF" to "Power"), or should I go ahead and just implement a "power" parameter in {{Card table}}?
A new "hp" parameter in Card table should work for that, then.
How does |lore={{{effect|}}} {{{amount|}}}{{ #if: {{{effect2|}}} | <br />{{{effect2|}}} {{{amount2|}}} }} look for the two effects/amounts, then? Is a linebreak between them fine, or should they be separated by something else? 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 05:57, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Not sure, but BAM uses quite a few different terms to the card game, e.g. round = turn, channel = column
Is that all going to be documented here at some point? It definitely sounds worthwhile to do so.
Yeah, more or less. I guess I should've just asked for an example card or two. =X Speaking of, could you upload one of the cards with a "SPECIAL" effect? 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 13:40, September 9, 2012 (UTC)
Do note that the sentences (e.g. Your Monster gains Power.) after the effect type (e.g. Boost) are not consistent, so we need to have the effect types separate from the lore (i.e. you can't automatically generate the lore from having the effect types and amount)
(The same highlight to read possible spoilers as usual)
On the topic of crafting, looking through the source code of the crafting interface, there is code for the cases where 3 and 4 ingredients are used. Currently only recipes using 2 ingredients are available. Might as well add it while you're doing them?
Another topic now, not that it is related to the card table but it may be interesting, during battle there are the usual terms like Attack, Boost, Immunity, Death, Negative Boost, Effect Trigger, etc. There's also one for Limbo State, perhaps the term "Limbo" is not unofficial after all?
(outdent) All right, how's the effect box look? 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 04:51, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Looks good.
I should mentioned that there are also monsters with no effects (e.g. File:Nekogal1-BAM-EN-VG.png). In which case, we just use the "lore" parameter and none of the others?
Other random info which my be useful for creating the template:
The shop search filter also uses the filters: "Single effect", "Multiple effects" and "No effect". We should also have these in the SMW search whenever it is added.
Spells do not have Power, Level, Type or Life Points.
Only Spells use the Continuous Symbol. Monsters do not.
I chose that example because it has a different lore to its Normal Monster Card Game counterpart. Which also seems to be like an errata. I've mentioned it on its Trivia page, wondering if these should be added to the Errata page. (Although, currently it should be the only one, excluding incorrect names mentioned in the above section).
Thanks for pointing that out; yeah, I've fixed up the template so just using "lore" works fine. When it's closer to deployment (and therefore the SMW stuff is actually getting worked on =D ), it should be trivial to add a property as well for whether it has zero, one, or two (there aren't ever more than two, right? I sure hope not...) effects.
I figured that. The template should work just fine for the spells if you don't set any of "attribute", "power", "level", "type", or "lp".
It's worth noting that the updated lore is also used on its card database page (I thought to look there because I was looking through random Errata pages last night and saw one that had an updated lore/effect from the DB). I think we're going to have to look through the database and compare the lores/effects listed there with our latest errata for pretty much every card (something we could definitely use a custom-written bot for =/ ). 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 19:37, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Interesting, I also agree that the Errata pages should include database erratas.
I'll just extract names-lores from the database (it should be similar to the names-databaseID I did a while ago). Using a bot to go through each page isn't the most efficient method, I'll just use SMW to get a list of all TCG names-lores on this wikia at once and compare off that. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:26, September 11, 2012 (UTC)
Added, thanks for creating the icons (without me even asking! =D ). 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 10:35, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
I might create ones for Attack and Life Points as well, after that I'll check the erratas.
On the topic of attribute icons, do you know if the CG attribute icons were deliberately made to look different to what the cards use or not? especially File:Water.svg and File:Light.svg.
Nope, that's something I've always wondered as well, but never asked Radaghast about it. I've been assuming that it was partly a stylistic choice and partly just to control the size and complexity of the SVG file (and maybe some sidestepping of copyright thrown in for good measure). 「ディノ奴千?!」? · ☎ Dinoguy1000 06:21, September 18, 2012 (UTC)

There are sprites for "MEGABAM" (http://i50.tinypic.com/2iayj3p.png), "AUTOBAM" (http://i50.tinypic.com/2z57lhj.png) and an "Unlock" button which can only be used when you reach a certain Level in the shop. I'm not sure if I should add features which aren't legitimately available in the game to the page, so I'll leave it here. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 01:38, August 5, 2012 (UTC)
Should we mention the price of cards changing somewhere? (Waboku 4 --> 16, White Hole, Mirror Force and there was a card which went from DP to CP which I forgot the name for) -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 22:29, October 31, 2012 (UTC)

I thought I already said something on your talk page, with the term extract not open.
I won't go into unnecessary detail, the point is, they exist, should we mention them.
Oh, sorry. I thought extract means just simply saving it, my bad!. Dark Pride (talk • contribs) 12:57, November 16, 2012 (UTC)
I should mention that I haven't gotten to the point where I can support that the 700th reward is Ananta. But I can say that both Ananta and Gradius are marked and the trend with the marker seems say that they are "new" cards, but since those two aren't available, it's quite likely. As such, I've set the comment to "Not available or "new"" on the sandbox.
EDIT: I have hacked it, and can say that it is indeed Ananta, I have a video of it as well, so I can upload it if it's necessary.
From the main article we listed Konami as the developer of the game, but is this really developed by Konami? [This https://www.yugioh-bam.com/blog/category/developers-diary/] and the line under the app page: "Developed by: Frima Studio" clearly mentioned that Frima Studio is the real developer for this game. I don't know that if Frima received technical support from Konami or not, but for sure they have the copyright and marketing support from Konami and I think it is fair to mention Frima Studio somewhere in our article. BAM Master (talk • contribs) 15:00, December 8, 2012 (UTC)
I noticed that a while ago and I've been meaning to fix it, but I forgot. It's quite clear that the devoloper is Frima Studio, not Konami.
In the code of the game, there is a line that says: "Frima YGOHanzel Copyright 1994 Bay Animation Inc All Rights Reserved"
I think Bay Animation Inc does the fonts, but I have no idea what/who YGOHanzel is.
Found it, FujiWide, FujiWideBold, FujiWideRegular, HanzelBold, YGOHanzel, etc. are the names of the fonts use in the game. Bay Animation Inc created the fonts.
Added an important point that Frima were specifically contracted by Konami, and that Konami maintain publishing rights.--TwoTailedFox (My Talk Page) 02:00, December 9, 2012 (UTC)
It's actually a topic on Booster Packs. From the game data, seems like a joke from one of the devs. Pretty sure it's not the name of a Booster Pack, it's probably a random filler name. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 14:17, December 10, 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't be surprised if it actually is a set name. But I've no problem with waiting if you want to be cautious. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:45, December 10, 2012 (UTC)
I reckon it's a joke as it's not the first time random things appeared.
There are lines which say "Trolololololol ' Problem?", "The BFG", "woot" in the list of effects data.
On the topic of Booster Packs, Series 1 (BAM) contains 336 cards and when the game was released, there were 336 cards. It's probably safe to assume they are the same 336, but that would be speculation wouldn't it. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 00:41, December 12, 2012 (UTC)
So the first 3 did actually contain those 336 cards.
After the update, the data for Poodles of Mayhem has been removed.
So, I don't think pages for really random things like that should be made (including Poodles of Mayhem). -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 03:16, December 13, 2012 (UTC)
I think the game data says that Sky Storm and Psychic Time Warp will both cost 10 DP each.
