The proper effect of Parasite Mind is not copying the Continuous Spell's or Continuous Trap's effect, but rather, allowing its owner to activate an opponent's Continuous Spell or Continuous Trap effect on behalf of its controller. It is still treated as the opponent's Spell/Trap card effect.

If Parasite Mind just copied the effect, then Crow's move would not have worked in the anime, since the Earthbound Immortals are unaffected by their opponent's Spell and Trap effects. —This unsigned comment was made by Justinpe730 (talkcontribs)

Remember, the lore is about what is written on the card, not how it is played in the anime. At best, you can use a reference to how it is actually used, kinda like we display it on Sharkify page. Energy X 13:39, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
Note that the lore directly translates to "on behalf of its controller" as well, and not just "that card's effect becomes this card's effect." This was also mentioned in the anime.
