Mmm. Sorry if I'm wrong, but wouldn't 後に亀と呼ばれる神 be more accurately translated as "The God That Will Someday Be Called Turtle" rather than the other way around? I've been teaching myself Japanese for a while now, and it's something that I just noticed. (The current name in Japanese would be 後に神と呼ばれる亀 for sake of comparison.)
