The card's name[]
Unless I'm missing something, shouldn't this card's name be "True King Mariamune, the Phoenix" and not "True Draco Mariamune, the Phoenix"? Because right there's already a WIND-attribute "True Draco" monster: "True Draco Majesty Maiden, the Mage". On top of that, this card's effects are exactly like the three previous "True King" monsters. Its naming scheme is also more like that of the previous "True King" monsters than the new "True Draco" monsters.--Cyber Dragon (Talk) (Contributions) 13:53, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
- I suspect it has to do with lore. "Mariamune" is likely a True King in all but name; unless I'm proven wrong in a couple months, then I don't think there's going to be a WIND archetype that has some lore connection to it. Furthermore, the art for "Dragonic Diagram" only has three of the True Dracos in it (Ignis Heat, Dynamite Knuckler, and a third one that I'm guessing is connected to Lithosazim/the "Zoodiac". I'd like to point out that they make reference to the Igknights, the Dinomists, the Majespecters, and very likely the Amorphages as well.) We'll know more when the set releases, I think. - I originally was going to say they should be the same, but then I took a look and what do you know, the kanji used is ever so slightly different. So yeah, it's not a true "True King" Aeron Solo wuz here (If you wanna talk) 14:21, November 18, 2016 (UTC)
- The archetype name should be "True Draco". The "True King", in OCG are known as "True Draco King"; thus, they are part of the "True Draco", just like "Master Peace, the True Dracoslayer" is. However, when they were released in the TCG, they omitted the Draco part and their names were localized as "True King". Becasita Pendulum (talk • contribs) 15:04, November 18, 2016 (UTC)

- I imagine they'll have names like this in the TCG - "True King Mariamune, the Phoenix", "True King Da'at Metatron, the Mechsoldier", "True King's Fighter, the Dynamite", "True King's Warrior, the Ignis", and "True King's Mage, the Majesty" - to avoid contradicting the names Agnimazud, Bahrastos, and Lithosazim have (will have for Lithosazim) in the TCG.--Cyber Dragon (Talk) (Contributions) 00:38, November 22, 2016 (UTC)
