Number of non-Tuner Synchro Monsters[]

Because this seems to be getting added a lot... I don't think it was said in the anime that 4 non-Tuner Synchro Monsters are needed. "4" contradicts the lore on the anime version of "Shooting Quasar Dragon", the only Limit Over Accel Synchro Monster, which says "2 or more". It also makes it largely redundant to have one of its effect based on the number of non-Tuners used. -- Deltaneos (talk) 22:55, February 1, 2014 (UTC)

Agreed, should a hidden note be needed, like "Although Yusei did use 4 other monsters in the anime with Life Stream Dragon, the anime lore says it only requires 2 or more non-tuner Synchro Monsters. As such please do not change it to saying it requires 4 non-tuner Synchros"? Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 23:47, February 1, 2014 (UTC)
A Limit Over Accel Synchro is the ultimate synchro summon using five synchro monsters anime-only, Team 5Ds states so in the beginning of episode 151. I couldn't care less about the summoning conditions of Shooting Quasar Dragon, rather than the conditions Yusei managed to pull off to achieve the Summon itself. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 19:23, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
I get you now. Tweaked it so it only talks about the Summon itself, so as to avoid making it look like it's talking about Quasar. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 20:12, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
I see what you mean. But what's the exact quote, you're referring to? I know Crow said that Yusei performed the ultimate Synchro Summon, using five Synchro Monsters, but I don't think he said that that is what a Limit Over Accel Synchro Summon is. Since "Shooting Quasar Dragon" is a "Limit Over Accel Synchro Monster", it stands to reason that the way to Summon it is a "Limit Over Accel Synchro Summon". Like how a Fusion Monster is Summoned by Fusion Summon, a Ritual Monster by Ritual Summon etc. -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:31, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
A Limit Over Accel Synchro Summon has "Synchro Summon" in the name. The anime had already established the concept as being simply an evolution to "Synchro Summoning". Do we also need to say that an Xyz Monster that's been ranked up is called a "Ranked-Up Xyz"? You see even though the summon is partially different, Shooting Quasar Dragon is still simply a Synchro Monster. superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 21:07, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
Except Shooting Quasar Dragon is not just a Synchro monster, it's printed on the Japanese text of the card that it is a Limit Over Accel Synchro Monster (unlike cards Ranked up which don't have "Rank-up (insert Number and name)"). Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 21:19, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
Why not? We already got a Rank 13 Xyz Monster.superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 21:25, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
That's just it's name and its amount of Ranks. The difference here is that Quasar actually says "Limit Over Accel Synchro" near its effects, which means it's not a normal Synchro. If they had "New Orders Xyz" near their effects like Quasar has to show it isn't some Normal type of Xyz, then yeah. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 22:32, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
In other words, "Shooting Quasar Dragon" has "[Dragon / Limit Over Accel Synchro / Effect]" printed on it, in the anime, rather than "[Dragon / Synchro / Effect]". "Etheric Amen" has simply "[Fairy / Xyz / Effect]". -- Deltaneos (talk) 20:00, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
Not only that, but Yusei and Jack had to perform their special skill every time to play their evolved monsters (Quasar included), so the only way Quasar can even be played is in the Over Top Clear Mind/Limit Over Accel state. I went ahead and left what Yusei did, but added a small note stating Limit Over Accel does not require 5 monsters. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 20:38, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
Then add that to the Limit Over Accel Synchro Monster webpage, but for now let's close this discussion.superlogan7437 (talkcontribs) 20:53, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
Okay, fair enough. I'll probably add that to it later. Shardsilver (talkcontribs) 20:58, February 4, 2014 (UTC)
