Brionac, Dewloren, and Gungnir all bear some resemblance to Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor, and The Winged Dragon of Ra respectively. Perhaps as legal, synchro Ice Barrier counterparts to the three Egyptian god cards. They are similar both in appearance and effects.((Ignoring that the god cards don't actually have real effects. I'm referring to the ones they tend to have in the shows or games.))

  • Brionac and Slifer's effects both deal with cards in the hand, additionally, both are long serpentine "dragons" with four short mostly useless looking legs, several spikes on their heads, and massive wingspans. Additionally both Slifer and Brionac have an extra facial feature. Slifer having an extra mouth and Brionac an extra "eye".
  • Dewloren and Obelisk both deal with removing cards from the field in someway to increase the monster's attack strength. Additionally, both are large muscular monsters with armor-like plating. ((Dewloren's actual armor and ice, and Obelisk's seeming to be a natural part of it's body. Both of them also have spikes on their shoulders, arms, and legs.
  • Gungnir and Ra's effects both deal with matching cards lost by their effect. Gungnir card for card, and Ra point for point. They are both griffin-like "dragons" who seem to be mildly mechanical and made of a strange substance for such a thing. ((Gungnir made of ice, and Ra made of either gold or sandstone...most likely gold)) They are both made of a substance commonly used in the cultures they respectively represent. ((ice for the ice barrier, and gold for Egyptian...at least in the yugioh universe where they seem to wear gold jewelry at random.))

Just an observation I made while looking up Gungnir. Yes I made an account pretty much entirely to point this out XD --Flameblight 13:19, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

dude this deck could go pro, have you seen the support?

does it needs a little more Swarming?[]

Grunald helps a lot on it and the triangle of IB too, but is there another way to swarm field or summon monster faster? The Forgotten (talkcontribs) 04:15, April 18, 2011 (UTC)

Another type of deck[]

I run a deck with treeborn and Fishborg Blaster to synchro intoFormula Synchron, or to tribute for General Gantala of the Ice Barrier. Would this deck be considered too generic for this page, or could it be put up on the page?

Aquarium Ice barrier deck[]

Do people realize the Aquarium spells cards can help ice barrier monsters?? "Aquarium Set" increase all water monsters ATK by 300 and if it's sent to the graveyard from the field you can target a aqua type monster(defender, cryomancer, and prior of the ice barrier) in your graveyard and special summon it. "Aquarium stage"- protect all water monsters from being destroyed by non water monsters. This is awesome for ice barriers. This should be mentioned in the "play style" section of the ice barrier article. I call my deck the Aquarium Ice barrier. --Faeli34 (talkcontribs) 18:12, April 14, 2017 (UTC)Faeli34
