Send =/= Detach[]

If "Macro Cosmos" is on the field, we can still "detach" Xyz Material, thats why I said "it is sent to the Graveyard as a result". Detach is the act of sending Material from NOT to, sending it to the Graveyard is the result of detaching. This is the same thing in "Tribute", "Destroy" and "Discard". If we want to definite any act, then we must not mix it with any other act, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. --Dlamash (talkcontribs) 14:37, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

Sending is a result of a Detach/Tribute/Destroy/Discard... that makes sense, since if you don't Destroy and just Send, it won't count as Destroy.
I guess the term "result" is better that "is" by itself, despite the rulebook saying ("Tributing is sending a monster you control to the Graveyard." and "When an Xyz Monster tells you to “detach” an Xyz Material, take one of the stacked Xyz Materials beneath your Xyz Monster and send it to the Graveyard.")
But since we like official sources, maybe at least minimise the amount you change. So you end up with using something like: Tributing results in sending a monster you control to the Graveyard.

Good point, I will try to use this idea. --Dlamash (talkcontribs) 15:30, October 21, 2012 (UTC)

Using the Xyz Matiral Effects[]

It is True that When a Xyz Material is detached, it is not treated as it leaving the field, since Xyz Materials are not treated as being on the field; so the effects of monsters like "Sangan" and the conditions of monsters like "Plaguespreader Zombie" are not applied.

However if the effects like Makyura the Destructor of simply being sent to the graveyard and dose not matter if it was on the field in your, discarded from your hand or used as Xyz Material and then Detached. the effects are applied, because it was sent to the graveyard either way.

Same thing for the following cards that ignored the ruling of where it was sending from (except banished zone); "Atlantean Dragoons", "Atlantean Heavy Infantry", "Atlantean Marksman", "Dandylion", "Eclipse Wyvern", "Hanged Man of Prophecy", "Makyura the Destructor", "Needle Sunfish", "Outstanding Dog Marron", "Trick Archfiend", and "Tour Bus From the Underworld". --iFredCat 02:36, June 22, 2013 (UTC)
