Taka, known as Takuya in the Japanese version, is a boy living under Martha's care.^[1]

In the dub, Taka's family was saved from a fire (in the original his father had died during a robbery). After seeing Sector Security risk its life to save them, Taka came to admire it and aspires to join Sector Security in the future, despite the fact that Satellite natives cannot join Sector Security.^[1]

When the Signers, along with Mina, Trudge and Leo returned to Satellite, Taka idolized Trudge and spent plenty of time following him around, and assisted him when Martha assigned Trudge to do chores.^[1]

Taka stays behind to watch Yusei and Roman's Duel, while the other children are taken to safety. This leaves him in danger of being sacrificed to summon Roman's Earthbound Immortal, but Trudge and Martha manages to safely take him away from the area, although Martha gets sacrificed in the process.^[2]

Despite Trudge's former hatred for Satellite people, he saves Taka.
