Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game

Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, often shortened TCG, is the part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game manufactured by Upperdeck Entertainment under Konami's direction. The TCG is played mostly in North America, Europe and Australia. The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG began in 2002.

Many cards released in the OCG may either be edited slightly so that their effects work the same despite translations (such as Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon) or may have the artwork censored or edited due to graphic content (such as many female cards having breast sizes reduced, or given more clothing) or completely redrawn to avoid religious conotations (like Last Day of Witch or Spellbinding Circle). This is due mainly because the international releases may have different standards for the age group at which the game is intended to be played by. This has been opposed by the older members of the community who play it, since in many cases, it's led to discrimination for "playing a children's card game", whereas in Japan, the card game is played by more adults than children.
