Stone Tablets are used to seal away Duel Monster Spirits and the souls of people.
Egypt[]
In ancient Egypt the Sacred Guardians would use their Millennium Items to seal away Ka from the criminals of Egypt inside Stone Tablets. The stone tablets would be stored inside a Tablet Sanctuary for use later. The Sacred Guardians would use their DiaDhank to summon their shadow creatures from the stone tablets inside their Tablet Sanctuary's.
Doma[]
The leader of Doma Dartz would spend 10,000 years stealing the souls of mankind by using the power of the Orichalcos in order to resurrect The Great Leviathan. Dartz would store the souls he stole inside stone tablets inside the Paradius temple.
Duel Monsters Spirit World[]
In the Duel Monsters Spirit World Zeman the Ape King and his Monkey troop would use the power of the Minus Curse to turn the Duel Spirits into stone tablets to build Zeman's castle, & to fuel the summoning of Earthbound Immortal Cusillu.
Nazca Lines[]
When Yusei Fudo and Jack Atlas goes to visit Greiger at the Nazca Lines Jack was challenged to a duel by the Familiar of Red Nova, if Jack won Red Nova would give him Power, if the Familiar won Red Nova would get Jack's body. Familiar of Red Nova duels is a deck of Stone Tablets instead of cards.
Ancient Times[]
In Ancient time after the battle at Poseidon Ocean Vector and his army fled to a Temple, Reginald Kastle would challenge Vector to a Shadow Game there. They would Duel using stone tablets instead of cards. Reginald would win the duel, but his army would be devastated by the rules of the Shadow Game.
