Starstrike Blast is the second set of the OCG's seventh Series after Duelist Revolution. It is followed by Storm of Ragnarok.

Starstrike Blast introduces Cosmic Synchro Monsters, the new trump card monsters of Yusei and Jack, as well as cards used by Akiza and Crow.
Includes further support for the "Scrap", "Fabled", "Archfiend", "Watt", "Naturia", "Blackwing", "Ice Barrier", "Synchron", "Koa'ki Meiru", "Skull Servant", "Gaia Knight", "Monarch", "Genex", "Allies of Justice" and "Gravekeeper's" archetypes and series.
It also introduces the new "Karakuri" and "Genex Ally" archetypes, and the "Dragunity Knights" and "The Fabled" series before their Hidden Arsenal debut.
