Spell of Mask was the 5th booster to be released for the OCG's second series, following on from Thousand Eyes Bible. All of the cards in this booster were released later in English in the Labyrinth of Nightmare release. Released on 19th April 2001, it was notable for the "Mask" cards, as well as a re-release of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", in Ultimate Rare form. There were 52 cards in the set which were, as usual for the OCG, sold in packs of five random cards. Spell of Mask was followed up by the Japanese release of Labyrinth of Nightmare.
