Some card names in the TCG and OCG use shortened or abbreviated names or terms, either because the names would be too long unabbreviated, or for stylistic reasons. This page serves to list what each of these abbreviations stand for.

Terminology[]

The use of abbreviation is primarily done in the Japanese version of the OCG, due to the unwieldiness of transcriptions of foreign words. Clunky transcriptions have been abbreviated especially in card text with the use of annotative furigana.
