A Semi-Anti-Banned Tournament is a stricter version of an Anti-Banned Tournament (which has no limits on cards). In Semi-Anti-Banned Tournaments all cards with a Forbidden or Limited status are treated as Semi-Limited. Semi-Anti-Banned tournaments are popular among those who feel that the Traditional Format still limits cards by too much, but treating all cards as Unlimited like in an Anti-Banned Tournament would make the game unbalanced.
Semi-Anti-Banned Tournaments occur often but only in in casual play between a small number of duelists or a dueling club where separate sets of rules may be created to fit a small number of different tournaments in order to allow any duelist to join. Semi-Anti-Banned Tournaments are only seen in the Metagame and are never seen in official tournaments.
