Respond
From Yu-Gi-Oh!
Since Summons and Attacks have no Spell Speed, and thus cannot be Chained to, a player may respond to that action, if it was the last action to happen on the field. Thus, if something interferes with that, and the event in question is no longer the last event to happen on the field, the player has missed the timing to counter that event.
