"Resonators" are an archetype of Fiend-Type Tuner monsters used by Jack Atlas and his imposter in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime. Their effects are centered around being useful towards Synchro Summoning and Stalling. They seem to rival the "Synchron" archetype as they also are a series of Tuner monsters used by Jack's rival, Yusei Fudo. There is one "Resonator" for each Attribute. Most of these cards wield a tuning fork and a mallet.
At the beginning, Resonator monsters were all Level 3, but, as the series progressed, "Barrier Resonator" and "Force Resonator" were released and they are Level 2 and Level 1. In the anime, "Clock Resonator" is the only non-Fiend Resonator although it was changed to a Fiend-Type when released in the OCG. Three other anime-only "Resonators" were recently used by Jack, "Synclone Resonator", "Mirror Resonator" and "Chain Resonator".
A "Resonator" Deck can be used in many different ways. Most use the classic, Level 5 and Level 3 setup for easy "Red Dragon Archfiend". Cards such as "The Tricky" or "Cyber Dragon" work really well in this kind of Deck. "Instant Fusion" is also an excellent choice. "Resonator Call" is the "Reinforcement of the Army" for the "Resonator" archetype. "Dark Necrofear" is also another really great option for a "Resonator" Deck.
