The Nazca villager was the only resident of a Nazca village to stay behind, after the Crimson Devil drove the others away.
When Jack Atlas arrived at the village, the villager told him that everyone else had fled and constantly repeated that this is the work of the Crimson Devil. Jack left after catching a glimpse of the Familiar. Jack chased the Familiar and was led back to the villager, who was now possessed by the Familiar. The Familiar and the Devil told Jack to meet them at the Earthbound Immortal Shrine and then abandoned the villager's body, causing him to fall over.[2]
