Monster World is a story arc in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga and first series anime.
Dark Bakura traps Yugi and his friends in his RPG board game Monster World. With Yugi, Anzu, Jonouchi and Honda as pieces, Dark Yugi uses them to face Dark Bakura.
In the first series anime, Miho Nosaka was also trapped as a piece.

Since these events omitted in the second series anime. A similar event happens in the Duelist Kingdom arc in episode 13.
Yugi, Joey (Jonouchi), Téa (Anzu) and Tristan (Honda) are trapped in their favorite Duel Monsters cards. Their cards are similar to their classes in Monster World. Joey is a warrior, Téa is magician and Tristan is a gunner.
Yami Yugi (Dark Yugi) plays against Yami Bakura (Dark Bakura) using his friends as their corresponding cards. Yami Bakura uses Ryo Bakura as "Change of Heart". But Ryo sides with Yugi and his friends. Using the Millennium Puzzle, Yami Yugi sends Yami Bakura to the Graveyard prematurely ending the Duel.
Afterwards Joey, Téa and Tristan wake up thinking it was a dream.
