Konami is a leading developer and publisher of numerous popular and strong-selling toys, trading cards, anime, tokusatsu, slot machines, arcade cabinets and video games.

Konami manufactures the Asian version of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, commonly known as the OCG (Official Card Game) and organize all OCG tournaments. Konami also produces all Yu-Gi-Oh! video games.

Upper Deck Entertainment was formerly licensed to manufacture the worldwide version of the game, commonly known as the TCG (Trading Card Game), under Konami's direction, until losing the license in a lawsuit.

In 2012, Konami acquired the rights to dub Yu-Gi-Oh! anime from 4Kids Entertainment while acquiring their production studio with them renaming "4Kids Productions" to "4K Media Inc.", having secured Yu-Gi-Oh!-related rights and assets in a joint operation with Saban Brands. Starting August 25, 2012, Saban aired Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL as well as other Yu-Gi-Oh! programs as part of their Vortexx block on Saturday mornings. On September 27, 2014 Vortexx did its final airing and ended. Later on, the English dubs for the Yu-Gi-Oh! series went to air on Nicktoons.

Konami Cross Media NY, Inc.[]

Konami Cross Media NY, Inc. is a American subsidiary of Konami. First founded in 1992 as 4Kids Productions, it was mostly known for dubbing a lot of Japanese anime, mainly dubbing the Yu-Gi-Oh! series and spinoffs.

4Kids Productions was later shut down by 4Kids Entertainment on June 30, 2012, while Konami acquired them to be renamed to "4K Media Inc." in the same year.

On June 4, 2018[1] The company later licensed three Konami properties: Bomberman, Contra, and Frogger.

On April 1, 2019 Konami announced that 4K Media Inc. was renamed to Konami Cross Media NY. The reason for the name change was to reflect the 360 expansion of Konami IPs outside of video games.
