The Gold Series set is specifically designed to be desirable to all aspects of the hobby with never before seen "gold technology". Legendary cards such as "Jinzo", "Dark Magician of Chaos", "Mirror Force" and "Crush Card Virus" will also be making their return with this set which will make this a must have item for players and collectors. The unique cards along with the new high end packaging makes the Gold Series perfect for collectors or current Duelists seeking to increase the rarity and prestige of their Decks. Pack comes in an “Ultimate Collection” style mini-box. It is followed by Gold Series 2009 in the TCG, and Gold Series 2010 in the OCG.
There is a misprinted version of "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" in the TCG version of this set, that has a DEF printed as 3000. This is incorrect, the correct DEF is 3800, and should be treated as such if you play the Gold Series version of "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon".
