Me and my friend were having an arguement about wave moition cannon's effect." During your Main Phase, you can send this card to the Graveyard to inflict 1000 points of damage to your opponent for each of your Standby Phases that have passed since this card was activated"

First off: is this card forbidden in any way shape or form?

The question/arguement was: do you need to use a card like "mystical space typhoon" to send this card to the graveyard, or do you automatically send this card to the graveyard due to the card's effect.

Next: when this card is in the graveyard because of it's effect: basically my opponent's life points get hit badly after each turn?

thanks

Sending it to the graveyard is a cost. So, if you say you're sending it to the graveyard, and your opponent says they MST it or something, they are too late. The multiples of 1000 start from when you activate the spell card. When you send it to the graveyard, the counting stops, and however many of your standby phases you went through times 1000 is the damage your opponent takes. Once it sends itself to the graveyard, the damage is done, and it ends. It doesn't do damage continually in the graveyard. It does damage once. If it is sent to the graveyard by anything other than you using its own effect in your main phase, nothing happens. First off, no, it's not forbidden, as the card's page on this site says "Unlimited." Next, no. Finally, please... it even says it right above where you typed... "Be sure to sign your edits with four tildes" T_T Why is that so hard? Zeek Aran 01:46, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
