My Dad's deck is practically unbeatable. Every time we duel, he wins. Can any one give me any help with beating him.
My Dad's Deck:
Too many Cards
Too many Cards
His deck is too big for the game. Also, if you could list specific moves/combos he uses to beat you might help. All I could suggest might be a meta deck of shutting down his spell and trap cards, with Secret Village of the Spellcasters and Royal Decree. He doesn't have any spellcasters, so that could shut him down entirely. Also, if you would list your deck, we could see at improving it.
Thanks. The main focus of the deck is getting Black Luster Soldier on the field as quickly as possible.
My Deck is also quite big, so heres the list:
I suggest you make your deck more like this:
All I really did was take out necessary cards and drop the card count to 40. But trust me these changes will help a lot. Having 40 cards will make the chances of getting a card you need higher. I'm not sure if this deck will help you win, but it will be a lot better and faster than your build. Try it out and see if you like it. Hope it helps. --Skiesthelimit (talk • contribs) 00:11, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, nice idea, if you wanted me to lose in half the time. I tried it and got hit with more spells and traps than monsters in my hand.
Magician of Faith is Forbidden, so you should probably take that out..I'm sure you guys are just playing Traditional format, but it's still good to keep your deck tournament legal-Ok I just looked over your dad's spells...wow I'm assuming that you guys ARE playing traditional format then, umm even so he has two copies of Heavy Storm and you're only allowed one. Aznskills90214 (talk • contribs) 16:09, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for the info, but uhh, lets think. Oh yeah, I DON'T CARE. Have you even Read what I keep saying. I dont care about deck limits, i dont care about the forbidden list and I DONT CARE IF MY F**KING DECK IS TOO F**KING BIG.
Your problem might be is that you're too mixed. You have Cyber Dragons, Yusei Synchros, Thunder Dragons, Destiny Heros, Dark Magicians; you should focus on maybe 1-2 Archetypes at a time. Maybe the Cyber Destiny? or Yusei thunder? Drew-Gi-Oh! (talk • contribs) 23:25, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll have a look and see what happens. If you have any more suggestions, other than Colossal Fighter, it would be much apreciated.
you asked for help to beat ur dad and when people give advice you say YOU DONT GIVE A FLYING FRECK (abrigdged marik)....if u really dont care then why ask for peoples thoughts u douchebag....40 cards is heavily suggested...usually no more than 45...but over 60 freckin cards no wonder why u get ur monkey ass kicked all the time....and since ur dad uses warriors do use warrior elimination and you yourself should run colossal fighter...big powerup from his monsters....and cyber dragons can go in just about ne deck for synchro possibilities.....if u dont control any monstersHairball420 (talk • contribs) 23:57, June 28, 2010 (UTC) oh, and one more thing...if u dont give a flying freck about the rules or nething then why the hell are you playing in the first place? you sir are not a true duelist Hairball420 (talk • contribs) 23:57, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
I'm gonna agree with everyone here. You Deck at the most should be 45, otherwise your not gonna draw what you need. And also you should try and concentrate on at the most 2 Archetypes at a time if you want it to run smoothly. Also like Hairball420 said, try and make it a Deck based around Colossal Fighter. Since your Dad runs Warriors Colossal Fighter will easily get up to the 4000's. Or you could even make a Deck based around Countering everyone of your Dads Cards. Your Dad runs lots of Monsters so why not try and put in a few Ground Collapse's or Ojama Trios. (Ojama Trio is limited to 1). Tell your Dad to take out a lot of Monster Cards and Just Double and Triple Up on a lot of things. I suggest 3 Command Knight, 2 Marauding Captain, 2 Mataza the Zapper, 2 Dark Blade, 3 Goblin Black Ops (yeah i know hes not warrior but hes awesome, just equip him with something like mage power and BOOM!), 2 Exiled Force, 2 Freed the Matchless General, 2 Cyber Tutu, 2 Field Commander Rahz for a Non-Synchro Deck. But if your going synchro just replace about 4 of the Monsters with tuners or get Lightwave Tunning or something. Some Spells that he should include are, Burden of the Mighty, Mage Power, Pot of Avarice, Shrink, RotA, Warrior Returning Alive and Axe of Despair. Then for his Traps I just suggest Counters like Dark Bribe and Magic Cylinder. Brodster (talk • contribs) 00:26, June 29, 2010 (UTC)
Good suggestions, only one problem. I would use alot of them, if I could. I don't have any of the cards you keep suggesting. And quit telling me about the deck size limit, that is the only thing im b*tching about.
Dude I just told you a bunch of Suggestions but you just deleted them! I just wasted 20 Minutes of finding ways to fix this Deck and you just go ahead and delete it!Brodster (talk • contribs) 09:12, June 29, 2010 (UTC)

How is this deck unbeatable, it is very inconstant, my decks will make light work out of your deck
This deck has beaten all 3 of the egyptian god cards, twice, thats what i mean by unbeatable.
LOLLLLL thats reallllllly sad
Dude don't be mean. Everyone will probably start out like he did, I know I did. I just threw a Bunch of Cards together which I called "my deck". He will get Better as he keeps Practicing. Also Sign your Post with 4 Tildes. As for Help with your Deck, it looks like you have a fair few Destiny Hero Monsters. I would suggest Building a Destiny Hero Deck out of what you already have and then build it up with support Cards. You could even try and add in a few Synchros for Colossal Fighter. Although this is as much help as I can give you because I don't run Destiny Heroes and I don't want to give you false advice. Good Luck Brodster (talk • contribs) 05:45, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
I don't have collosal fighter. Haos serpenoid 500
ey, you seem pretty deck worthy, look at the things i wrote about see what u think, about the other decks
@Hairball420 Agreed with your statement that this kid isn't a true duelist. I like how he/she(the way they talk makes them sound like either a really young kid or a pmsing girl) either way you should learn to how respect people, ESPECIALLY those who are trying to help you out. If you don't need help, that's fine, don't post your useless deck in this forum then. :) Aznskills90214 (talk • contribs) 14:41, June 30, 2010 (UTC)
I think for starters he should have started out with the Duelist Toolbox. It's a good start with some pretty good cards like Turret Warrior, Junk Synchron, Fortress Warrior, and Quillbolt. But, ya a deck with 60+ cards is a bad start 40-45 card is the road to go down. He probably like the dude 2 people above me said he threw cards together and started playing. With time he will develop the skills and knowledge to get a good deck going. This dude should take in the advice and help people are giving him, thats how i learned to play the card game. He is probably overhelmed, but jumping down his throat and saying he is stupid and stuff doesn't help. If he doesn't like what anyone is saying then he really shouldn't be asking for help in the first place and getting defensive over crap that doesn't make sense. Apology & Reason
Okay everyone, Im sorry for being rude to most of you. I wasnt trying to be rude, I am just sick of everyone telling me that my deck is too big and my cards are forbidden.
Why even make the cards if your not even allowed to use them. It seems a bit pointless, and I think that we should be allowed to use any cards that we want and as many as we want. I'm okay with the max.3-limit for individual cards, but only being allowed 60 at most throws my strategies out the window. And while you have brought the topic up, I've been playing the game FOR 7 YEAR'S!User:Haos serpenoid 500
First of all, let's establish what format you are going to play in: Traditional Format or Advanced Format? Advanced Format is the format used in tournaments (as well as by the majoriy of dulists). Traditional format does not have any cards that are forbidden but does have Limited and Semi-Limited (Although not many play traditional because of the relitively broken tactics present).
Next, While the fact that after seven years, you still haven't been able to figure out that having 60+ cards in a deck will ultimately screw you over no matter how many strategies you may have is extremely lulzy; We ARE infact here to HELP you. This is why we keep telling you to limit your deck size down, not because we wish you to be conformist, but because limiting your deck size to between 40 and 60 cards is quite literally the best advise that could ever be given to you to help you with your deck. This is real life and not the anime, with that amount of cards you are not going to draw what you need. As for how to limit your deck, think of which strategies are most helpful, which are most likely to actually happen/work, and most importantly: which stratigies work together the best. Pick strategies that have those traits and keep them, then proceed to "trim the fat". This is because using a strong strategy composed of one pervailant strategy with a few supporting strategies works much better than several strategies that have nothing to do with one another trying to work at once. --Unknown019 (talk • contribs) 20:19, July 5, 2010 (UTC)
- In other words: A deck that can do one thing very well is better than a deck that can do several things poorly. Why should you modify your wrecking ball so that it works as a screwdriver as well? Runer5h (talk • contribs) 20:53, July 5, 2010 (UTC)Runer5h
- I'd have to agree with the two comments directly above. Limiting you deck size and focusing on a singular strategy that are supported with splashes of smaller strategies helps allow for a more consistent deck. I started out exactly like this using like 60+ cards and after only 1 or 2 years and playing with people better than me that could help me, did I realize my faults and fixed them accordingly. Now my decks run amazingly, some even destroying meta decks without the use of generally accepted staples like Mirror Force and Solemn Judgment. Indeed we are here to help you but if you don't accept that then its your problem not ours. Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day sure, but if we try to teach the man how to fish and he doesn't want to learn, then what's the point? I hope you understand what we're trying to get at, we don't even care if you used banned cards but you shouldn't complain about your deck's inconsistency with such a large size. A deck with 60+ cards and 3 Raigeki, 3 Monster Reborn, and 3 Change of Heart would still be hard to use because you would barely draw them. People thrive off of the chances their decks grant them with simple statistics. Just think about that, and know that we're telling you for your own good. Hope I helped. =] 02:59, July 6, 2010 (UTC)
Sincerely, thank you. I really needed that. I'll see about down sizing to about 60 cards and see if that helps. If you could give any more advice, then it will be much appreciated. ~~User:Haos serpenoid 500~~
Going back to what you said at the top. They print the cards, because the forbidden/limited/semi-limited lists are not all set in stone. Sometimes cards are added on and others are taken off. But the ones that are forbidden are on there for good reason. Certain cards/card combos are so good that, if everyone has the cards, the duel no longer requires skill. It becomes a race to see who can draw their game-winning cards first. TheTricky17 (talk • contribs) 05:13, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

Downsized to 60
This is my deck, only Downsized a bit. I've taken the cards that I never used out of it. If this isn't any better than before, please tell me. No more dissing from me, promise.
My Dad also downsized his deck slightly. He didn't want some of the cards so he just took them out. Here it is:
Your deck is a bit better. But there are a few cards that still seem... misplaced:
Destiny Hero - Dread Servant - You aren't running clocktower prison, So unless you really feel the need to distroy your own magic & traps, I'd suggest taking it out.
Silver Wing- Stardust dragon is your only card that can use this, and for the most part stardust dragon can defend itself with it's great ability and good attack stats.
Ultimate Baseball Kid- This card's only good if you're running other fire monsters. It's not needed in this deck.
Also, Considering the amount of monsters you have I highly reccommend adding atleast one Marauding Captain.
Thanks, you've been a big help. I've taken out the Ultimate Baseball Kid, Silver Wing and Destiny Hero - Dread Servant, but I only have one future fusion, so I'm keeping Polymerization and Fusion Sage. If their is any thing else, please let me know. ~~Haos serpenoid 500~~
please can you explain to me how does he ever beat you like in how many turns he reduced your 8000LP and wich cards he used.. i mean maybe something could be wrong in the gameplay itself and has your deck been always like this?
We actually start with 5000 lp, mainly cause 8000lp would be a bit of a struggle for him. And its usually 13 turns and he wins. ~~Haos serpenoid 500~~
All the normal rules, except we start with 5000 Life Points instead of 8000.
Is their anything wrong with that? ~~Haos serpenoid 500~~
Thanks, I didn't know that. How would i be able to get Cyber End Dragon with only 2 cyber dragons.
Proto-Cyber Dragon or Cyber Dragon Zwei for instance. But it is hard, Cyber dragon might be at 3 next format though. Why don't you built a deck around your Cyber Dragons? EvilHeroDarkGaia (talk • contribs) 14:34, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
I would, but I dont have enough machines. ~~Haos serpenoid 500~~
First off, I don't see why you need a Dragon Capture Jar if he doesn't have any Dragon-type monsters. Secondly, a Magic Jammer or a Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell would work well if your dad's main strategy is to summon the Black Luster Soldier.Tofu42 (talk • contribs) 00:01, August 11, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, if you like, you could check out my other deck help forum. It's Forum:I need some help!. I would really appreciate it if you would take a look and help me out.
if you have $10 that you want to spend on cards go out and buy the machina ayhem structure deck. that can probably beat your dad just by itself. and if that doesnt work then buy more of that deck. i have a friend that made a deck using only the cards he got from buying 3 copies of that deck and 2 smashing grounds and a mirror force and he got 3rd or 4th place in a tournament.
I live in England, and there are no tournaments near me right now. ~~Haos serpenoid 500~~
i just want to ask if you put ur fusion and syncro monsters in your side deck. i kno it might sound like a stupid question but if those cards are in your deck it would be kinda hard to find shuffling thru ur deck just to find it. instead of doing that you can just put those cards aside in ur whats called an extra deck :P 22.214.171.124 (talk) 23:39, August 26, 2010 (UTC)xXxSims3fanxXx126.96.36.199 (talk) 23:39, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
Consistency is a key when building a deck. If you compare your deck to your Dad's, you'll see though he has more monsters than you, he has multiple copies of the same one. Generally when you make a deck it needs to be consistent, so you need to have multiple copies of the same card, and not to many singles monster wise. IonCharge (talk • contribs) 17:15, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
For all those who suggested 3 Cyber Dragons: They're Semi-Limited, a Deck may only contain 2 Cyber Dragons, add Proto-Cyber Dragon as a replacement for the third.
