help me complete it or add in and take out what you see fit im trying to keep it dark magician based

ok i did some changes but i still dont want to use magicians valkryia the fact that they are a must makes me want to use them even lest. I did had apprentice amgician at begging but i took them out but now that i knoe of crystal seer... awesome card

Added in magician circl, royal decree, took out magical hats, added mage power, Magical Dimension and summoners art. I also kicked in two more dark Magicians

its 40 cards right now i added in dark red enchanter because its awesome

Call of the Haunted = banned. One Dark Magic Attack, DM Curtain, and Thousand Knives, yet only one Dark Magician himself? Add in two more. Also, you really need Magical Dimension. Zeek Aran 00:28, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

You should consider putting in a couple of Magician's Circles as this a great card especially when you consider that it you have the strongest monster you can possibly summon with its effect.

Dark Magic Curtain is one of those cards that can help you and kill you, however when you consider if you run a Spell Economics you can summon a brilliant monster for free its pretty good.

Magical Exemplar is also a brilliant card to put in this deck and can be even better exploited if you run a Magical Explosion to get your best monsters out and hack away at your opponents life points at the same time.

Magical Dimension is absolutely a MUST for any Magician deck.

If you are finding that you cant draw your Dark Magicians but are always drawing Thousand Knives just add a couple of Summoner's Arts to search them out and summon them quickly with Magical Dimension

Magic Formula can also be quite useful but is useless if you have lost all your Dark Magicians and Dark Magician Girls. You may want to run a couple of Mage Powers to get more use out of them.

Apprentice Magician is also incredibly useful both for giving Magical Exemplar an extra counter but also to search the deck for useful cards like Old Vindictive Magician and Crystal Seer.

Magician's Valkyria is also a MUST for any Magician deck, if you can get two of these out you can lock your opponent out for a couple of turns until you draw your key cards.

Herald of Creation can also be useful if your Dark Magician is in the grave and you have a a Magical Dimension that you are just dieing to use.

You MIGHT also want to put in a Royal Decree to stop your opponent from using nasty traps like Magic Cylinder.

Serial Spell might be another card to consider if you have nothing else in your hand and you need to use Thousand Knives more than once.

Dedication through Light and Darkness can be useful for getting out your Dark Magician of Chaos and delivering that final blow!

Good Luck, i hope some of these suggestions help!

  • takes notes* I'm making one also. >> I think 16 spells, 2 royal decrees, and 2 random traps is quite good. Zeek Aran 04:56, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

no lily????

I run with a Spellcaster deck and i've never ever heard anyone say bad about Valkyria, she is a fantastic stall card and i find that she can withstand pretty much everything. I like the idea of what you're doing, however i found that using a Spellcaster deck, the best way to use one is to have 3 Dark Magicians and use their support cards to obliterate anything, then get a Sorceror of Dark Magic to stop any traps that can stop the final crushing blow (as most defensive trap cards are not Spell Speed 3, and Sorceror can stop them). Any questions? (

Hey there;;,, you should consider putting 3 Magical Dimension and make a continious chain in your battle phase and destroy your opponent's monsters...or use Brain Control to offer your opponnent's monster as tribute for magical dimension..

Try also putting Crash Card Virus,, this will surely cripple some of your opponent's high ATK monsters..

you can also put Breaker the Magical Warrior,, combined with Apprentice magician,, to destroy your opponents magic ang trap cards..

that's all,, hope you consider these things^^ Zecariah02 03:55, 19 June 2009 (UTC)

I enjoy spellcasters just as much as the next guy

But the trick is to know how to use them. I currently have a spellcaster deck with 50 cards (30 monster, 20 magic & Trap). A few heavy hitters to bear in Mind Are Chaos Sorcerer, Dark Eradicator Warlock, D.D.M. - Different Dimension Master, and Chaos Command Magician. however, a spellcaster deck is only as good as the spells within it. Dont underestimate the effectiveness of Mage Power, Dark Magic Attack, Lightning Vortex, Magical Dimension, and Magical Blast, I can't BEGIN to describe how far they've taken me.

I ran 1 of the best dark magician decks before.

I have 2 spellcaster decks, dark magician deck and my spellcounter deck. In your dark magician deck, I prefer 2 of Dark Magic Curtain and 1 Spell Economics. Sorcerer of Dark Magic can be easily summoned in dark magician decks. I usually locked my opponent with Secret Village of the Spellcasters and Sorcerer of Dark Magic, making them unable to use both spells and traps. User:ArchmageJun
