can i special summon red eyes darkness metal dragon from my graveyard by removing a dragon type monster from my graveyard like masked dragon, since cards on my graveyard are still under my control? or does REDMD effect triggers only by removing a dragon monster on my field? —This unsigned comment was made by Loweje (talk • contribs) 03:24, 14 May 2009
- It only applies to monsters on your side of the field. Not the graveyard. --Bluedog (Talk) 03:33, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
- What BlueDog said is right... but if you was able to discard redmd to the grave you could ss him using red eyes wyverns effect..
Smaug83 08:16, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
--Yes.You can use Wyvern's effect to Special Summon REDMD.
--Jampong
- Removing from play 1 Dragon-Type monster to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" is a Summoning Condition, not an effect. You can only use this to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" from the hand. Also, you can only remove from play a Dragon from the field - in most circumstances, "[a card] you control" means "[a card] on your field".
- Also, "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" can be Special Summoned from the Graveyard by other means, such as by "Red-Eyes Wyvern".

Can you Special summon red eyes from the grave by removing a dragon from the field? or can he only be SS from the hand?--71.165.202.192 20:37, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
- Heh, I answered your question right above you. "Removing from play 1 Dragon-Type monster to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" is a Summoning Condition, not an effect. You can only use this to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" from the hand". --Deus Ex Machina (Talk) 03:28, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon's dragon summoning effect
If REDMD is going to be destroyed by a card effect like Bottomless trap hole can I chain his ability to special summon a dragon when he's destroyed?
well you dont chain REDMD effect to BTH but instead it the other way round.. you get the priority to activate it's effect then it gets destroyed. TairoMegus 07:00, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Priority Question
Claiming priority when REDMD gets bottomlessed, I summon Prime to the field, will primes effect allow me to save REDMD (as Prime has faster spell speed i believe).... Or is this a simultaneous effect that makes REDMD removed from play at the same time as Prime is summend to the field making Prime miss the timing??? Smaug83 10:18, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
okay here's the sequence...
- REDMD summoned > Effect activate > BTH chain > BTH effect resolve remove REDMD > REDMD effect resolve (even though his not on the field since the effect already activated: BTH does not negate)> special summon Prime Material Dragon so PMD does effected by BTH since the effect already resolve
TairoMegus 15:13, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Long story short, Prime Material Dragon hits the field after REDMD is out of the field so that makes it impossible to negate BTH. If Torrential Tribute is activated when REDMD hits the field (while calling priority and special summoning Prime Material), does Prime Material stay on the field? ~~ZYtemarre~~
Same situation > REDMD effect activates > Torential Tribute activates > TT destroy all monsters > REDMD special summon PMD while its in the grave so torential tribute does not destroy PMD since PMD was called out after torrential tribute destroys everything TairoMegus 09:31, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
you can also special summon REDMD by the effect of decoy dragon it is a really great combo_mike93
red eyes darkness metal dragon
i saw the other comments but, my friend said that you cant ss red eyes darkness md from graveyard by removing from play one dragon type monster, is he right
He is right. Summoning conditions like REDMD's usually allow the monster to be ss from the hand only, unless stated otherwise--Hide Head Turtle 07:20, May 1, 2010 (UTC)
red eyes darkness metal dragon effect
ok i think that red eyes darkness metal dragon can be special summoned from the graveyard with its own effect for the effect of red eyes metal dragon, as long as you meet the conditions through the effect of red eyes metal dragon it can even be special summoned from the deck, I'm confused with this—This unsigned comment was made by 74.32.236.15 (talk • contribs)

- This has been repeated many times already! If it doesn't say from where, then it implies that you can only Special Summon it from your Hand to the Field. -Falzar FZ- (talk page|useful stuff) 05:30, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
The only reason Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon can be special summoned from the deck is because its Summoning Condition says so. Also, because of its Summoning Conditions you cannot special summon from the hand.-- HHTurtle Talk 05:34, October 8, 2010 (UTC)
