so basically quik spells are just trap cards right? because you are forced to set them to activate them on your opponents turn? quick spell means you should be able to activate it at any time during the duel FROM YOUR HAND not if its set. i suggest it be fixed because otherwise they just need to get ride of quick spells and turn them into trap cards cause thats all they are—This unsigned comment was made by 166.127.1.226 (talkcontribs) 18:28, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Almost the same as Traps except, it's not any time, it is from your hand during your own turn. And cards that negate Traps cannot negate Quick Plays. So there's nothing to fix.

Yeah, and just to add, Quick Play spells, like Enemy Controller make using Treeborn Frog better, since you get to summon Frog, then use E-Con from hand as a Quick-Play, take a monster, and then summon back frog again, which is really cool, better if you tribute or use the monster you stole. ---Dark Ace SP (Talk) 03:43, June 16, 2012 (UTC)

you can't activate traps from your hand at all you have to set the trap face down and wait for your turn to end, but you can activate any spell from your hand your turn or set it face down if you like to use it anytime you like only if its QS. if its a normal spell you only can activate it your turn even if its been set face down (just like a field spell). i guess no one set a normal spell unless he want to save it from a card attacking his hand, to pass it to his team mate if they are playing a tag match or to pretend that the spell is a trap face down.—This unsigned comment was made by Mezuki (talkcontribs) 03:24, July 8, 2012‎ (UTC)

@"you can activate any spell from your hand your turn or set it face down": This is incorrect. If you set a Quick-Play Spell Card, you cannot activate it during that turn.

Beside Quick-Play Spell, you can playing any Spell Cards ever if they were setting directly from hand onto the field. For Trap Cards, if you wish to playing them from hand; toss "Makyura the Destructor" into the Graveyard first. --iFredCat 03:37, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

the spell can be activated during either player's turn if its face down thats what i ment. it can be activated from the hand during the turn so yea no one said set it and then activate it at the the same time. why anyone will set a spell if he wanted to activate it at the time?

"you can activate any spell from your hand your turn or set it face down" This is correct —This unsigned comment was made by Mezuki (talkcontribs) 03:59, July 8, 2012‎

Mezuki! Read what Falzar told you about the signature!
So if you're ask that he set a Quick-Play Spell then wish to playing it on same turn, then no. It's against the rulings of the game. --iFredCat 04:05, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

i didn't say that he/she just made that up. make your point but not this way. Mezuki (talkcontribs) 04:16, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
