So how many is to much in your opinion

- well the limit is 60, but between 40 and 45 is ideal I believe. Dmaster (Contribs • Count) 22:54, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
most generally keep it at fourty if they can, i prefer to have it a fifty, but thats one player. Prince Of Darkness 00:24, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I believe a deck should not exceed 43 cards. My decks are at 42 each while I have encountered ppl who have theirs at exactly 40. Most of the time, smaller decks are faster to pull what you need like pulling Destiny Draw when you need it most or something of the sort.

I personally prefer to use 40 cards to keep up the pace of the duel and make cool counterattacks occur like on the anime. User:Machineguy 15/08
- Most decks I think should stay at 40-43 cards (I believe 42 is the ideal number). For Lightsworn decks, I can see 45 cards working pretty well. -- Sub 02:10, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
I personally think that you should keep it at exactly 40 but 42 is ok. Monarch1 20:22, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
40-45 is the ideal number, as past posts have stated, but it all depends on the deck. Decks containing cards that allow one to draw cards or special summon monsters(sangan, pot of avarice, etc.) and have key cards to win a duel would tend to have fewer cards. Although, if you are aiming for a combination of cards that eats away at your opponents lifepoints, then a higher number of cards is preferred. Keeping the deck to a minimum of 40 cards allows one to practice his analytical skills in only keeping cards of the utmost importance. I keep my deck at 40 for the sake of speed.
it depends on the deck you are running, my synchro deck works best at around 50 cards while my cloudians is better at around 42 Blood-Stained-Doz 11:02, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
