I'm a huge fan of the Geminis, so I've been building one for quite some time. I refuse to buy cards that I can't trade or draw from packs so it makes for a somewhat limited selection on my part but anything appreciated would be very nice.
Its essentially a Gemini Deck with a focus on pulling fiends with Doom Shaman, so I've got a lot of Fiend powerhouses
Monsters: 2x Dark Valkyria 1x Future Samurai 1x UFO Turtle 1x Blazewing Butterfly 2x Caius the Shadow Monarch 1x Magical Reflect Slime 1x King Pyron 1x Shadow Delver 2x Doom Shaman 1x Chthonian Emperor Dragon 1x Evil Hero Malicious Edge 1x Gemini Summoner (6 Boxes of Tactical Evolution and I've only ever traded for one) 1x Legendary Fiend 1x Armageddon Knight 1x Sangan 1x Mystic Tomato 1x Evil Hero Infernal Gainer 1x Card Trooper 1x Gemini Imps (Its the representative of the deck, Gemini-Fiends. . . It's perfect really)
Magics: 2x Swing of Memories 1x Symbols of Duty 2x Double Summon 1x Super Double Summon 1x Unleash Your power 1x Mystical Space Typhoon 1x Twister 1x Heavy Storm 1x Monster Reborn 2x Lightning Vortex
Trap: 2x Sakuretsu Armor 1x Ultimate Offering 1x Gemini Trap Hole
Doing this off of memory, so I could be wrong about the specific # of the Gemini based summoning magics, and right now I actually have a Reflect Bounder instead of Gainer, but I don't think Reflect's all that useful for me right now.
Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. My first deck was a gladiator beast deck, I drew a Heraklinos and then hated how very easily he just destroyed everything, didn't even have the crazy Elemental Hero -> Gyzarius action going on. . . So I made $150 ^
I didn't like how my Heraklinos was badass good? That doesn't sound right. Anyway...I could be wrong on this, but don't Gemeni monsters kindof support a style or strategy, like Il Blud is the perfect zombie support and Shaman is perfect for Yubel, etc... I don't really see them all bundled into one. Whatevr...I give you an A for effort and originality, but a C (for now) on playablity. I don't see the big bang everything clicking together feeling yet. I'd like to see you fine tune the Gemeni's to one point like the Shaman and use only the Gemeni's that support him. I'm rabbling now so, well, just good luck.Slinky O 03:03, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
My point exactly
Before I begin, Heraklinos felt like I was cheating. . . I didn't like that it didn't really take much strategy. . . 'Hey I have Heraklinos, I'm stopping you now' Just wasn't pleasant.
That was the purpose of saying, 'this is a Gemini deck focused on Fiends'
I'd really like for you to tell me about the playability issues, because I'm having a hard time seeing where my problems are. . . The deck actually runs very very well.
The deck has a huge amount of functionality and I haven't found a situation yet that would really hinder me. The focus of this deck really does lie in the fact that Doom Shaman summons fiends, not just Yubel, in one turn I can often turn one tribute and a magic card into a Doom Shaman and a Malicious Edge. . . Doom Shaman can also pull Sangan, so if I don't have a fiend in hand or grave, I can just kamikaze to pull a new one.
Really I want to know what kind of situations would be able to consistently stop my deck, because between Dark Valkyria and Future Samurai's ability to simply stop monsters, my ability to special summon so very often, and Caius' ability to just entirely remove from play anything troublesome, I don't know what my problem is. . .
I also changed a couple of things, took out a Twister and added 2 Soul Ropes, and I have a Newdoria for even more monster destroying abilities. . .Lostconfound19 15:54, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I think its one of those situations where it just doesn't look good on paper (at least to me), but probably plays much better. I don't know something just screams at me that I don't like what I see, but you make it sound awefully good. I don't knowSlinky O 15:54, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
