When I begin a duel, I often draw 4 spell/trap and ONLY a monster. Than, the next card I draw is another spell/trap.

My deck ratio is
Monster/Spell/Trap
22/10/15

Is there a way to solve this problem? Tanhopkins93 11:37, 27 April 2008 (UTC)tanhopkins93(Newbie)

you have too many Spell and Traps, and the total card is 47, make it 42(22 monster/10 spell/10 trap) Cybertwin 12:18, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Generally a deck must be: 20/22 Monsters, 13/15 Spells and 5/6 Traps. And the it's better to have 40/42 cards in the deck. --Rein Weiss Ritter 12:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
    • I split it 20/10/10 so it is very even but thats just me. Dmaster (Contribs Count) 00:04, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
      • IMO clogging up your starting hand with 5 monsters is worse than starting off with a hand of 5 Spell/Traps. --43.244.33.41 07:57, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Reasoning, ROTA and Monster Gate can help you get around some of that, but its definitely better to keep your deck under 45 cards and an even number of monsters vs spells/traps, unless there is a specific theme you're running like Magical Explosions. Lightspeed1967 20:17, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

well, my deck ratio is 20 monsters, 12 spells, and 8 traps.

Character

In Yusei themed deck, i used 20/20/20 just because i like them all.
