Hello Yu-Gi-Oh! community, this is my first post on this site.. lol. I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG for years but I'm "casual" play-style. I need tips with my Utopia + Infected Mail theme.. its slow & clunky (I run doubles). Please help-
the aces I'm thinking:
Removed images, cleaned decklist up,corrected grammar, but since we don't know what doubles you have, we can't give you any advice yet. Put down the numbers and we can help you. However, your deck seems very abstract and requires a lot of luck to function. Please explain your strategy and what you want the deck to do so we can recommend cards for you. I can suggest you remove Heart of Clear Water and Dice-nied, as well as Double or Nothing, since those cards are not too useful in most situations. Additionally, remove Warrior Lady as you have only one valid target for it (Goblindbergh), which is only useful when it's normal summoned. thanks for re-editing my post "Jet-Black Nova", im noob at this. also u called it perfectly, during my test vs friend's toned-down wind-up (more friendly to newer players) it was strictly luck draw. my plan was to make a simplified deck w' a one-track mind. im making it simple so i can play w' friends and still win-lose, the younger ppl i play get discouraged about their advance level decks losing =( i tell them not to.. cards are powerful when used correctly but w' that in mind im at lost here. the deck is very clumsy.. to start= i use the upstart golden ninja to get utopia & deck thin: the warrior lady is their for deck thinning like generation force, i use her for marauding captain. bacon saver is just a negate for utopia, during my test bacon saver was a waste- using utopia ability then re-xyz utopia into another utopia was easier. the dice-nied is a cheap anti-trick im using... most players i play "ss" so just there to be a nuisance. heart of clear water there to negate infected mail.. im not 100% on that ruling but if correct i was using upstart ninja to attack directly when able (during test play). zubaba knight was a def. killer & sasuke samurai #4 was just another nuisance card. i use double or nothing to buff utopia. plan is to attack w' utopia. when infected mail & tribalrivals on field i make it direct w' no fear of destroying utopia itself. when able i aim for the endgame- attack directly w' utopia + negate it + double of nothing= easy 50k. please help me balance it & make it actually playable, im willing for change & i also have more xyz monsters if needed.--Hyper-jet-space (talk • contribs) 16:52, August 27, 2013 (UTC)
Oh boy ... where to start? You can't even use Utopia with infected mail. Utopia has a RANK, not a LEVEL. Again, Marauding Captain is useful only when he's normal summoned, so don't use Warrior Lady at all. Drop Sasuke Samurai for a second Zubaba Knight as its effect isn't luck-based. There's a general, unspoken rule that any card in a deck has to be useful for more than one combo or it's not worth using. As such, Double or Nothing, Warrior Lady, and such aren't as useful as you'd hope. Also, if you use Utopia's effect, Tribalrivals is useless. You can't use Utopia as overlay material for another Utopia, only for Utopia Ray and Rank-Up cards. The whole deck just screams poor construction to me, I don't know. I ... I'm exasperated at it. Ask Dark Ace for advice, he loves deck building, but I'm just at a loss for words now. Jet-Black Nova (talk • contribs) 17:05, August 27, 2013 (UTC)
Very big strategy flaws in the Deck's idea.
"Using Utopia's ability and re-Xyz into Utopia" - As Jet-Black Nova mentioned, you cannot use Xyz Monsters as material for a standard Xyz Summon unless a card effect states otherwise. Xyz Monsters don't have Levels largely for that specific reason. In the same sense, you cannot use Infected Mail with any Xyz Monster.
"Heart of Clear Water is there to negate Infected Mail" - No, no. Please read Infected Mail again. It sends the affected monster to the Graveyard, which is far different from any form of destruction. Heart of Clear Water will not be able to prevent you from losing that monster, and Xyz Tribalrivals won't do that either.
So you'll have to completely rework the Deck from scratch, because your whole game-winning strategy just cannot work. May I suggest, instead, a ZW Deck? Shouldn't be too strong a change from a Utopia-based Deck. --Gadjiltron (talk • contribs) 01:37, September 3, 2013 (UTC)
