This deck is considered a Classic Deck, this page is used to tell the history of a deck rather than how it is played now. This can happen either from mechanics of the game changing, changes from the "TCG" or "OCG" Forbidden/Limited List, or the deck has slowly lost it's ability to be played over time due to years of no support or neglect.
Baboon Burn, also known as BaBurn, is a Deck that combines a beatdown strategy with strong "Beast"-type monsters and burn cards. The deck was tied together with the pre-errated "Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest" which back then could activate its effect during the damage step.

How it works[]
Use "Ojama Trio" to fill up your opponent's field with monsters, which "Gyaku-Gire Panda" will take advantage of it's increased ATK and piercing damage. "Ojama Trio" also supports "Just Desserts" and "Secret Barrel" to burn for extra damage.
"Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest" could activate it's effect during the damage step back then, and also triggers when a "Beast"-type monster is destroyed on the controller's field. Players could crash "Giant Rat" into their opponent's monster and trigger both "Giant Rat"'s search and revive "Green Baboon". Furthermore, "Green Baboon" did not have a once per turn restriction.
The deck was shortly available in the TCG during 2007 and was a top tier deck in the OCG for almost two years. "Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest" was banned and later errated, and the deck saw no play afterwards.
