In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, Duel Runners were introduced by "KaibaCorp" as unique Duel Disk which are used for Turbo Duels and are are equipped with a screen which shows details like the current Duel Field or the Life Points. It can approach speeds of up to 220 kilometers (136.62 miles) per hour during a Turbo Duel. In addition to this, other equipment like the helmet visor serve to display various information, such as the stats of a monster.
In each Duel Runner, there are two specific cards integrated: the Field Spell Cards "Speed World" and "Speed World 2". If this card is activated then the duel screen on the Runner will appear. Furthermore all other information irrelevant to the Duel, can be switched off. "Speed World"/"Speed World 2" also activates the Duel Disk, which is attached to the Duel Runner.
Consequently Duel Runners have been seen to posses certain other distinctive characteristics seen on the series. Such to be mentioned are runners that are hybrids with Card Zones that can be detached and used as standard Duel Disks. Some that have sidecars with their own Card Zones attached for Tag-Team Duels. And to be pointed out its possible to have a regular Duel on Duel Runners as long as "Speed World" is not activated.
Season 2 introduces Duel Boards, customized skateboards built for children to do Turbo Duels; it also counts as a simplified version of a standard Duel Runner. In the series, even though Duel Runners are primarily designed for Turbo Duels, they also serve as alternative forms of transportation.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, Duel Runners are reintroduced into the series with the introduction of Yugo, a mysterious Synchro Duelist.
Yusei Fudo's Duel Runner, known as Yusei Go is similar to the first one he made, but colored in red, which is known to be a rare color. It is a hybrid built mainly from refurbished scrap metal of older runners. It includes a Duel Disk in the design of a Battle City Duel Disk. The Disc along with most of the runner's parts, including the latest top of the line marketed KaibaCorp acceleration chip: the Skyline 30; were either scavenged or stolen from sector security. Has been modified by Yusei and Bruno with their new engine program in order to compete in the WRGP. Yusei believes this upgrade will also help him achieve Accel Synchro. In Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time, Jaden Yuki asks Yusei about "Yusei Go" being the Duel Disk of the future.
Jack Atlas' Duel Runner, known as Phoenix Whirlwind in the English version of the series, but known as Wheel of Fortune in the Japanese version. Jack's Duel Runner is a hybrid. In the English version, this is also Yusei's first Duel Runner. In a later episode it is mentioned that Jack's Duel Runner is the only one of it's type in the world. It was later upgraded for WRGP.
Hunter Pace's Duel Runner - His Duel Runner is in the style of a chopper.
Bolt Tanner's Duel Runner - Tanner's Duel Runner from his days as a pro duelist. Judging by Episodes 65 onward, this is a mass-production model. Greiger had a black version of this model during his flashback before his duel with Yusei.
Blister & Aero's Duel Runner - This Duel Runner was owned by both Blister & Aero and was used for Tag Turbo Duels. Blister drove the bike with Aero in the sidecar. During a duel, the sidecar broke off and was destroyed leaving the motorcycle part.
Greiger's Duel Runner - Called The Beast in the English dub. A large, skull-adorned Duel Runner in the style of a dragster. Two of the four back tires can also come off, revealing a set of blades mounted on each axle, similar to a war chariot. It was later remodeled after Greiger became a Dark Signer.
Crow Hogan's Duel Runner, known as Blackbird can change into a flight mode, by folding out a set of wings. This is also a hybrid model. It is revealed that this Duel Runner originally belong to Robert Pearson, who gave it to Crow before he died. Unknown to Crow up until episode 95, The Blackbird had a compartment in the back close to the engine which contained the Black-Winged Dragon card which was also used by Robert Pearson before he died, this card was unlocked from the compartment via a password that the Crimson Dragon unlocked during his duel with Bolton. It was upgraded into the Volcanic for the WRGP.
Sector Security's Duel Runner for Tag Duels. It is a massive armored van manned by two Security officers. The duel is shown on a large monitor in front of the pair. An eye-like probe detaches from the main van and follows the opponents to project the monsters.
Kalin Kessler's Duel Runner - Kalin uses this Duel Runner in Shadow Turbo Duels. It appears to have been created with such duels in mind, as it is able to take far more punishment than the typical Duel Runner. It is the Duel Runner equivalent to a Dark Signer's duel disk, with the dragon wing at the back and the teeth in the front. In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia it is called Giganto L.
Carly Carmine appears with her own Duel Runner in order to duel against Jack Atlas. The design is similar to Kalin's Duel Runner, but with alternate coloring and smaller tires which represents her personality as a Dark Signer.
Sherry LeBlanc's Duel Runner, called Sturm und Drang. She rides it in her Turbo Duel with Yusei, with Akiza watching on top of his Runner. This Duel Runner seems to resemble a horse, with the card spaces on its neck and its monitor having a royal theme. It was thrown into the sea in episode 110 by Jakob. It is a hybrid model.
Elsworth's Duel Runner. Its front is themed like an old-fashioned car. It was destroyed in episode 110 by Jakob, but had another as shown in episode 117.
Primo's Duel Runner, known as T-666 or Terrible Omen. This Duel Runner isn't registered in Security's database, which led them to believe it was Ghost.
Antinomy's Duel Runner, known as Delta Eagle. Its unusual design allows it to achieve incredible speeds far beyond that of a normal Duel Runner. To onlookers, the sudden burst of acceleration gives the impression that his Duel Runner has vanished completely.
Akiza Izinski's Prototype Duel Runner. It was built by Yusei and his friends as a gift for her. Akiza uses it to learn how to drive one, and in the first part of her evaluation, to obtain her license.
Akiza Izinski's Duel Runner, known as Bloody Kiss. It was remodeled by Yusei, Jack and Crow for Akiza's qualification Duel. She uses it in her first Turbo Duel against Trudge. For the WRGP, it now has Team 5D's logo. Like Yusei's, Jack's and Crow's runners, Bloody Kiss is also a Hybrid model, Unlike Yusei's, Jack's and Crow's this Duel Runner was not upgraded for the WRGP.
The Turbo Duel exam Duel Runner. This model of Duel Runner was used by all the applicants for a Turbo Duel license except for Akiza. It and the Sector Security Duel Runners are the only mass-produced Duel Runners shown in the anime. Syd's gang uses pure black versions of this model.
A Duel Runner belonging to a person living in New Domino City, it was stolen by a member of Syd's gang.
The Duel Runner that Bruno uses when not using Delta Eagle as Vizor. Several like it are also seen in a shop window in Close to you. It is likely that this is a mass-produced Runner made for younger teens due to it's size and inferior capabilities.

Lawton's Duel Runner. Its front head is in the shape of a drilling machine. This Duel runner is very resilient, capable of handling a Dynamite explosion.
Bolton's Duel Runner is an PX3A model manufactured and sold by his company. It has boosters that allow it to gain more speed and was built to go around turns easier. It's a new model that he used against Crow Hogan. It can be seen in commercials before Crow talks to Bolton.
Team Unicorn's Duel Runners, Monoceros. They are used by the Team Unicorn members, Andre, Breo, and Jean, and are built to resemble unicorns. Each horn is also a different color to distinguish it from the others, Andre's is blue, Breo's is green, and Jean's is red.
Nicolas's Duel Runner, called Deep Fissure Alpha. Similar to Hermann's Duel Runner but painted black with the tail section hanging down and the prongs either side of the wheel pointing up. It was destroyed after a failed attempt to make Jack crash, by the effect of Doom's Ray.
Hans's Duel Runner, called Deep Fissure Gamma. Similar to Hermann and Nicolas's Duel Runners with orange frills at the rear.

Since The Beast was destroyed after his duel with Crow, Greiger uses another Duel Runner when he reunites with Yusei and Jack. This one is much smaller but has similar decoration. It also has a sidecar that is used by Greiger's siblings, Annie and Max.
Team Taiyo's single Duel Runner, known as Machine Day Breaker, is based on a near-junk Duel Runner they bought and improved by parts they found or obtained from another non-functioning Duel Runner from Taro's father. After the Diablo nearly wrecked it, Yusei and Bruno repaired and improved it. Its computer monitor is fuzzy and pixellated, but it works well otherwise.
Team Ragnarok's Duel Runners, known as Valhallander, are used by Halldor, Brodor, and Dragan. They differ only by the color of the body on each member's Duel Runners, Dragan's dark blue, Brodor's magenta, and Halldor's white.
Gill Randsborg's Duel Runner follows his medieval-theme and matches his armor.
Over the Nexus
Misaki uses a Duel Runner called Omega Hawk when she is in her android form. Misaki is based on Bruno from the anime and this Duel Runner is similar to Bruno's Delta Eagle in appearance and its name is also a combination of a letter from the Greek alphabet and a bird's name.
Tiger Eyes' Duel Runner is designed after a tiger.
Leo and Luna's Duel Runner. Its front resembles Power Tool Dragon's head, and according to Leo, despite its small size, it has the latest technology in it, making it a very potent Duel Runner.
Akiza Izinski's Duel Runner in the manga is different from her anime model.
Lazar's Duel Runner is called Destiny Clown. It contains a big grinning face on the front, and is equipped with "D-Boost", two turbines on its back which can considerately boost the speed temporarily. In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Wheelie Breakers, this Duel Runner is colored purple.
After obtaining the Ultimate God's powers, Rex Goodwin uses a different Duel Runner, which is capable of soaring.
3D Bonds Beyond Time
Paradox's Duel Runner. It has the abilities to transform into a hovercraft and travel through time. It is a Hybrid model.
Thunder Spark, despite being from the ZEXAL era, Duels in a Duel Runner-like system, called "Speed Duel". The Speed Loader, the vehicle he uses to duel with looks like a futuristic-model motorcycle. It is also able to ride over the water.
In ARC-V, Yugo uses a white colored Duel Runner. It seems to have a "hornet" motif, adorned with several sharp gold and white elements with black stripes. Unlike previous Duel Runners, this machine incorporates into its frame the glowing hologram technology seen in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, in its wheels and Duel Field. Also, unlike the Duel Disk Energy Blades that form from the ARC-V Duel Disks, which are, with the exception of Reiji's, shaped like a boomerang, the Energy Blade this Duel Runner creates is shaped like a boomerang but with two extra blades sticking out.
