YGO-046 Dogs and jackals board
Sugoroku's dogs and jackals board.
DeltaneosAdded by Deltaneos

Dogs and jackals is an ancient Egyptian game where players race pieces around a board.

The pieces are large pegs with a dog or a jackal head on top. The gameboard is a rectangular wooden box shaped like a four legged animal. The board is made of ivory carved with a palm tree and has fifty eight holes.

In the manga, Sugoroku Mutou introduces this game to Yugi Mutou, Katsuya Jonouchi and Anzu Mazaki. He didn't mention its name, but said that it is an ancient Egyptian game where players race their pieces around a board shaped like a frog.[1] Sugoroku's board was shaped like a frog and the game is referred to as frog ((かえる), Kaeru) in Yu-Gi-Oh! Character Guidebook: The Gospel of Truth.
