Dark Glass is a mysterious Turbo Duelist who guides Yusei Fudo, so that he can defeat the Synchro Killers. He highly encourages him during the duel, so that he can surpass his limits and fears. Nevertheless it's unclear for what purpose or reason he helps Yusei. He appears to know Placido, as he conveniently stopped Yusei before the latter could approach the former for a duel. Interestingly, he shares the same Japanese voice actor with Bruno, both are left handed, recognize The Infinity Trio or at least Placido, and have similar physical traits; however, it is unknown if the two are related or are the same person.

He appears before Yusei during the WRGP party, after Placido confronts an intruder, everyone believing him to Ghost, and stops Yusei from going after him and then challenges him to a duel, stating "Surpass your own limitations". Before they could begin with their Duel, Dark Glass wanted to challenge Yusei, to see if can handle going at an accelerated speed during turns.

After this, the duel finally commences, with Yusei's friends watching, as well as the Infinity Trio. During their Duel, he shows Yusei the unbelievable speed of his Duel Runner, as well as the power of his Accel Synchro monster, "Tech Genus Blade Gunner MAXX-10000".

As Yusei tries to destroy this new Synchro monster, Dark Glass unexpectedly prevents this by removing it from the game using its effect. This causes him to lose the duel, with Yusei questioning him about why he did this. However, Dark Glass only states that he isn't that good of a person as Yusei might believe, and that won't reveal all the secrets concerning the Accel Synchro Monsters.

Yusei then questions why he bothered to show him this; Dark Glass only says that he had fun, and that will be waiting for the day they can Turbo Duel again. After that, he leaves.

He is the first Turbo Duelist to be left-handed, but not the only duelist. (Lucciano аnd Bruno are also left-handed.)

It should be noted that 'Dark Glass' isn't his name, but is simply the name given to him during his Duel against Yusei based on his visor which obscures his eyes. 'Glass' is Engrish for 'glasses'. The credits of the episodes he features in list him as 'Unknown D-Wheeler'.

Dark Glass uses a Tech Genus deck which focuses on rapidly Synchro Summoning his Synchro Monsters, sometimes twice per turn, and using new Accel Synchro Summon method for his ace monster: "Tech Genus Blade Gunner MAXX-10000".
