• In Japanese mythology, Yatagarasu is a three-legged raven that is associated with the sun and the goddess Amaterasu. Similar creatures have been discovered on ancient Egyptian murals.

• This card appears in the artwork of "Legacy of Yata-Garasu" and "Mobius Glacier".

• So far, this card and "Tsukuyomi" are the only Spirit Monsters to be on the Forbidden list.

• In its artwork, "Yata-Garasu" is perched on the "Orb of Yasaka".

• This card had one of the furthest drops in rarity with its reprint in Dark Beginning 2, from Secret Rare to Common.
