- "Vilepawn Archfiend" is based on the pawn.
- This card resembles a less ornate version of "Shadowknight Archfiend". They both carry the same sword and shield, though "Vilepawn's" glows blue instead of bright red like "Shadowknight's".
- The second effect is based on the front row of pawns that protect the more valuable pieces.
